FAU corners were beat mutliple occasions during the OU game, granted UCF is not Oklahoma but UCF has some NFL receivers.
FAU defense will have to make a few stops to keep up with UCF.

Let's not compare OU track-running (according to the talking heads) WRs with anyone else. FAU's entire secondary is back from last year's top interception unit in the country (actually, second)

I'd put our speed right up there with OU, no questions asked. Guys like Killins, Anderson, Snelson, Nixon, and Payton are some of the fastest guys in CFB. The only thing I'd give to OU receivers is height, but we've got guys like Gabe Davis and Marlon Williams for that.
Killins' speed needs no explanation, I think. And Heupel is running him and Anderson as a WR out of the backfield a lot this year.

Especially with that DC they have now.
The stink coming out of Southern Miss has somehow made it to South Florida. This doesn’t bode too well for when we hire away Jay Hopson. Maybe there is a position open for waterboy that he can occupy.

Good luck versus UCF. You need it.
Don’t be too hard on yourself. I would love a visit from USM, maybe we will see one in the coming future.
This game is more interesting than you might think. We don't know much about UCF because they only played UConn (who gave up 49 points to Rhode Freaking Island).

Knights 30
Owls 24
lol. Really dude?
I actually think FAU may score more than that, but 30 points? 30? We scored 31 last year against Auburn's top ranked SEC defense.
UConn's defense sucks - no question. We scored 56 points and basically stopped even attempting to score in the 3rd quarter.

Tre Nixon and D. Snelson is a pretty good 1-2 for UCF.
This game will be decided by the UCF defense....if it stays average with no improvement I see FAU putting up points to keep up.
lol I've got to give you props - you have consistently hated us since like 2003 when we first played. I've never understood it but I admire your dedication.
Perhaps it was the fact that UCF never lost to Marshall while in CUSA
I hate you guys because we were the ONLY reason you got into the MAC and we were the main reason you got into CUSA.
Then when it was time to return the favor you guys did not advocate for us to join you in the AAC.
lolwut? You think CUSA was going to leave UCF out of expansion in 2005 if not for Marshall intervening? Why would you think this?
And you think UCF, as a newly added ACC team in 2012, was in a position to mandate that Marshall come along too?
We made sure you got into the MAC and yes, we were the main advocate for UCF to join CUSA back in 2005 as well.
Yeah, f'ing right?? The second USF was invited to the Big East, Britton Banowsky was on the line to Orlando. Some forget, UCF was considered as a replacement for Miami when they left to the ACC, but USF was able to out leverage UCF, due to their athletic programs being in a more stable position. But I do suppose "FAN" is short for "FANATIC". It's like Memphis fans saying UT is the reason they aren't in the SEC. Pure speculation, without any proof or knowledge of the real story/facts.

I am of the appreciation that two in state schools who have received a lot of national headlines are playing a national TV game and none of those teams are the supposed big three.
I don't think we will win, but I hope we put on a good show.

You are crazy. Your program was straight trash before joining CUSA. No one wanted you or your crappy off campus stadium you played in with your 15k fans.

Hombre, you may not want to use 15K as a way of slamming UCF attendance from 15 years ago in the Citrus Dump when, per your very own post, your current conference averages..........
UAB- 21,991
FAU- 19.017
FIU- 14,695
Charlotte- 8,204
CUSA Week 3 Average Attendance- 15,977
Average Season Attendance
UTSA- 42,071
UAB- 24,558 (2 games)
So Miss- 24,377 (2 games)
Marshall- 24,304
North Texas- 24,029 (2 games)
Rice- 23,220 (2 games)
La Tech- 22,926

I bet Scott Frost wishes he had those players in Lincoln.
He'll get them to some degree IMO. It'll just be harder since there's absolutely no talent like this in the immediate Lincoln area, or even a few states over. Most of these guys came from within a few hours of UCF - now he's gotta fly all over the country to lure people to Lincoln.
We'll see. I am a full believer in his system and him as a HC, he certainly proved that out. But I'm not sure he can get the players to Nebraska to run that system and be able to overtake OSU.
The good news for him is that the B1G West is really weak and he could contend for that division title fairly soon.

USM has an offensive lineman in Miss. that is down to USM and Nebraska. Frost has his work cut out for him if he is in a recruiting battle with USM for an offensive lineman.

the SEC held a vote in the early 1970's regarding Memphis State and admission. one school blackballed us - Vandy. the speculation has been the word came down from the governors mansion due to west Tennessee political pressure UTK publicly had to support us and the private school, Vanderbilt, was tasked to do the deed. at the time, MSU had facilities, competitiveness, budget and fan support equal to many SEC schools.
