Now 38-21. Took Coastal long enough, but finally playing like they expected

Charlotte is off to a 2-1 start. This is a surprise this year.

Davidson 91
Guilford 61
That sounds more like a basketball score instead of a football score.

That's a FCS team beating a DIII team and doesn't fit the criteria for this thread.

It may not qualify by the letter of the law but because of the audacity of the score (and giving up 61 points to a D3), I think it's a better fit than, say, Boise State beating Kansas, or UCF beating Virginia, which WOULD meet the criteria.

Having 152 combined points in a football game is laughable

Scoring 61 points in a football and getting blown out is laughable imo.

Only if someone starts by thinking that any football game played by anyone belongs here.
If we're going to include games with D-III teams, the next step is, what, NAIA games, high school games, Pop Warner, or maybe intramural flag football games?

Davidson usually lose to lower level teams. That includes to D3. The point is how bad the defense are on both teams.

It was homecoming yet the smallest crowd of the season...under 3K. Homecoming...in early September against a D3 school. Florence or no...yeah, all of this stuff gets a chuckle from me.

Really? Post their record the past five years against DII or lower teams.

2013-Lost to Lenoir Rhyne and Johnson C. Smith 0-2
2014-Lost to Catawba, beat College of Faith 1-1* (although C of F no longer counts)
2015-Lost to Catawba, beat Kentucky Wesleyan 1-1
2016-Beat KY Wesleyan and Livingstone 2-0
2017-Beat Brevard and Guilford 2-0
2018-Beat Brevard, Chowan, and Guilford 3-0
They have definitely turned it around a bit the last few seasons, and this year they have a new coach and are off to a great start.

So with a 9-4 record against lower division teams, and no losses the past three season we can most assuredly say that the statement "Davidson usually lose to lower level teams" is both poor sentence structure and false information.
(BTW...I knew the record. I usually don't ask questions I don't already know the answer to )
