If they can't be bothered to gather the required documentation then they probably wouldn't vote anyway. If they can't make it to the DMV or whichever issuing agency handles such stuff in each state then how would they ever make it o a polling station? You're just full of assumptions aren't you? You've presented nothing in any of your posts that rise above the level of opinion yet you act as if you've just exposed something the entire world never considered.
I bet you've got quite a collection of participation trophies though.

So you are saying these voters are too stupid to get and maintain an ID? If a person doesn’t choose to get an ID, that is their decision, and decisions have consequences.
I see you just had to throw the race card in, it appears you are the racist by insinuating minorities don’t have the wherewithal to get and keep an ID.

Don't interrupt. I wanna watch him carry this to its logical conclusion.
Lol
Me too but there is no logic to be found in any of his/her posts so...

You’re projecting what appears to be your own thoughts. I’m dealing with the reality of the situation which is that some people don’t have ID for whatever reason, and the GOP loves voter ID laws because people without ID tend to be elderly and minority voters. Don’t even begin to pretend that the right-wing gives a damn about election security. They give a damn about suppressing turnout by traditional Democratic groups.
Hmm, talk about projection, you're doing a pretty good job yourself. The left wing clearly doesn't care about election security. Correction, they do care, they don't want election security. Because that makes it harder for them to cheat.
There is no method other than some method of voter ID to ensure that the person standing there claiming to be John Doe registered to vote in this precinct is in fact John Doe and is in fact registered to vote in this precinct. So there is no way to identify impersonation voter fraud, and thus no way to have a clue how rampant it is.
I will bet you this, that there were enough fraudulent votes on both sides to have swung the contest for Florida's electoral votes in 2000 either way. And that is hardly insignificant.
Your claim is wholly untrue. A photo ID isn’t the only method to verify ID, nor is it the most reliable. We could collect biometric data on every voter! That can’t be forged, and we all know forgery is a real issue. Of course I’m sure many right-leaning, and particularly libertarian types, will object to such measures and may forego their right to vote rather than hand over biometric data to their local election board, but that’s the price of election security, right? Or do you only support solutions (to negligible issues) that suppress Democratic voters?
Please come back to earth, you're flying way too close to the sun.
I believe at the bottom of my heart this I’d stuff is to suppress the vote. It’s going to knock 5% off of D’s total votes. You have to have an address you lived in for over 6 months. Little things that are going to pile up. Where in the constitution does it say any of this? I get mad over this.
I don't know how this 5% figure gets trotted out. I call fabrics on the figure. Im sure there are a tiny handful of old folks still alive that for some really crazy reason can not obtain an ID..ie lost Birth Certificate...but... It for damn sure is not 5% of eligible democrat voters. Also..there may well be a few very old conservative voters in the same boat. I doubt the figure is significant enough to have any bearing on elections.
What gets me is that this issue has been brought up for decades. You are going to tell me that after election after election...these folks still cant figure out how to get an ID? Get the hell out of here....That's just silly.

Who are these people that you refer as Brown? Tell me dear Liberal. You aren't being very PC and I feel insulted. Would a dark skinned Italian be in that category? Tell me dear Liberal.

So, your against voter Id--which would easily stop non-citizens from voting. But you're perfectly ok with using government intelligence agencies to spy on political opponents? The term "Fair elections" appears to mean something quite different to Democrats than it does to most Americans.

I've heard stories of little old ladies who can't get IDs made because they lost or never even had birth certificates. This is particularly common among African Americans and others born in rural areas.
What if we just required IDs for voters born 1970 or later? Surely almost everyone born after 1970 has a birth certificate or at least one on file in the county they were born in.
Pshaw, I was born in 1948 and I have an ID and a birth certificate that refutes "No mames" Brown race belief. On it it states that I am Caucasian. See, Momas has proven that he's an idiot.

It also stops people from voting who are American citizens too. You dont care about that because people who are housing challenged isnt your demographic. When we make it easier to vote D's win. Period.
Suppress the vote. Rig it. Close polling stations in black counties. Make people wait in lines for 3 hours. R's win.

Continue the push to socialism and R's win. Given what the democrat party did to Bernie it's laughable that they would complain about rigged elections.

Well at least you have stopped with the 6 month lie.
And at least in Georgia, if you haven't notified them you moved and registered somewhere else, you can still vote in your old precinct.

Oh, like thousands of us Republicans had to wait in line 3 hours to vote for Ronald Reagan in 1980 (actually it was probably 2.5) in Democratically controlled Texas?
Or like in Democratically controlled Dekalb County where there are lots of early voting sites in Democratic and Black areas, but you have to drive a long way if you are white or Republican?
Please. The Democrats are the worst about cheating at elections. And the biggest hypocrites.
One thing that I don't think has been mentioned, but I think it is a serious consideration.
Do we really want people who are so disengaged from society that they do not need an ID to be voting?
I mean seriously. how many things in normal everyday life require ID? What kind of life is one living if he/she does none of those things? If that's whom we are "disenfranchising," then maybe they need disenfranchising.
If one of them votes illegally, and votes the opposite of me, then guess what, you have just disenfranchised me.
The only reason to oppose voter ID is because it makes it harder to cheat, and you want to cheat. There are no others.

Housing challenged, let’s call it what it is, homelessness, What makes you think legal American citizens who are homeless are voting Dem?
I've seen some pretty young people in street corners in El Paso asking for handouts so I would assume that they are homeless. I don't know if they really are but if they aren't why aren't they working? Young, I mean, military aged young. Why don't they go that route? I know if I was them I'd rather do that than be in some corner in extreme heat and cold with a cup begging for money. If not, where they were standing a Lowes had Help Wanted signs outside. Sheesh.

Voting is a right AND a privilege. If you can't be troubled to make the minimal effort to register, I doubt you've taken the effort to be informed.
Voter ID laws would protect the integrity of elections. But a certain segment of the population doesn't want them. Why?
Check out the video. (By the way, you'll also see the left's beliefs about black people not being able to get state IDs get thoroughly debunked and labeled as racist and ignorant.)
This is how Democrats think about what they consider their voting base. WAKE UP, PEOPLE!

El Oh El.
What on earth does "Housing challenged" even mean?
I've currently got a hole in the roof, Should I go fix it or call some roofie Co. who is three weeks out?
Getting out and and getting the hands dirty once in a while can be liberating and rewarding, Ya'll lefties need to go out and try it some time.
