I believe at the bottom of my heart this I’d stuff is to suppress the vote. It’s going to knock 5% off of D’s total votes. You have to have an address you lived in for over 6 months. Little things that are going to pile up. Where in the constitution does it say any of this? I get mad over this.

lol, incorrect. The folks on both sides are simply advocating for what they think will make America better.
take John Kerry and John McCain...both are patriots who have very different ideas about how to 'Make America Great'...neither one is sick twisted or delusional.

This is what happens when virtue signalers go wrong.

Show us where in the Ohio statutes it is 6 months. You are probably just spouting back mindless fake news talking points.
In Georgia its 30 days and they allow some leeway even if you have moved. I would be amazed if its over 90 days anywhere.
Here are the Georgia rules: http://sos.ga.gov/index.php/Elections/register_to_vote
"Change of Residence
Voters are required to notify the board of registrars of their county of residence whenever they move.
If you move within the same county in which you are registered to vote and don't notify the registrar at least 30 days prior to an election, you may vote in your old polling place for that election. You must file a notice of your new address. This can be done by writing to your county board of registrars' office or by submitting a new voter registration application.
If you move outside the county in which you are registered to vote within 30 days of an election, you may vote in your old precinct for that election.
If you move outside the county in which you are registered to vote in excess of 30 days prior to an election, you have lost your eligibility to vote in the county of your old residence. You must register to vote in your new county of residence. You will be assigned a new voting precinct and polling location. Remember, if you don't register to vote by the deadline, you cannot vote in that particular election."
Rules of residency for the State of Ohio...
key points from the link:
You will be a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days immediately before the election in which you want to vote;
Under Ohio law, your residence is (1) the location that you consider to be a permanent, not a temporary, residence and (2) the place where your habitation is fixed and where, whenever you are absent, you intend to return. If you do not have a fixed place of habitation, but you are a consistent or regular inhabitant of a shelter or other location where you intend to return, you may use that location as your residence for the purposes of registering to vote.
Looks like even the housing unstable...aka homeless can use a shelter as a place of address.
It doesn’t matter if obtaining an ID is difficult in general or easy in general. The point is that in the aggregate there are some people who don’t have ID and won’t get an ID, and those people tend to be older and minority voters who skew Democratic. So the GOP sees an opportunity to do what they do best, implement policies with a thin veneer of legitimacy that hurt minorities more than anyone else. That’s been the GOP game plan for decades, and their racially motivated base loves it.

So you are saying these voters are too stupid to get and maintain an ID? If a person doesn’t choose to get an ID, that is their decision, and decisions have consequences.
I see you just had to throw the race card in, it appears you are the racist by insinuating minorities don’t have the wherewithal to get and keep an ID.

You’re projecting what appears to be your own thoughts. I’m dealing with the reality of the situation which is that some people don’t have ID for whatever reason, and the GOP loves voter ID laws because people without ID tend to be elderly and minority voters. Don’t even begin to pretend that the right-wing gives a damn about election security. They give a damn about suppressing turnout by traditional Democratic groups.

The only projection going on in this thread is coming from you thinking that every action coming from Republicans is racist.

Hmm, talk about projection, you're doing a pretty good job yourself. The left wing clearly doesn't care about election security. Correction, they do care, they don't want election security. Because that makes it harder for them to cheat.
There is no method other than some method of voter ID to ensure that the person standing there claiming to be John Doe registered to vote in this precinct is in fact John Doe and is in fact registered to vote in this precinct. So there is no way to identify impersonation voter fraud, and thus no way to have a clue how rampant it is.
I will bet you this, that there were enough fraudulent votes on both sides to have swung the contest for Florida's electoral votes in 2000 either way. And that is hardly insignificant.

Your claim is wholly untrue. A photo ID isn’t the only method to verify ID, nor is it the most reliable. We could collect biometric data on every voter! That can’t be forged, and we all know forgery is a real issue. Of course I’m sure many right-leaning, and particularly libertarian types, will object to such measures and may forego their right to vote rather than hand over biometric data to their local election board, but that’s the price of election security, right? Or do you only support solutions (to negligible issues) that suppress Democratic voters?
You guys don’t care about fair elections. You care about voter suppression.
I just moved from CA to IL this summer. In the middle, I lived in OH in my parents' basement for 2 months. I got an OH library card and driver's license with no trouble at all. All you need is two pieces of official mail (utility, bank, credit card) sent to that address. A signed lease agreement can substitute for one of the pieces of mail.
It's really not that hard for people who can read. Other than the mentally disabled, 99.9% of adult American citizens can read English and follow simple rules.
I believe at the bottom of my heart this I’d stuff is to suppress the vote. It’s going to knock 5% off of D’s total votes. You have to have an address you lived in for over 6 months. Little things that are going to pile up. Where in the constitution does it say any of this? I get mad over this.
Checking in late.
Womp, womp womp.
As usual the leftists "gotta take 5% off of them" narrative is insulting. To everyone.
Womp womp womp.
Go talk to loser Ramen in Chitcago.

Errr, How would a Finger print or other "biometric data" define what ones political party's leaning may be?
Honest question: Are all leftists, Dims this vapid?
I'll take the answer off the air.

I’d be fine with biometric data, but I thought we were trying to keep cost down. Why incur the expense when we have other ways that utilize things that we are already doing?
And as far as your gratuitous “negligible” comment, there is no factual basis for that characterization. Query, if it is truly negligible, why fight it so hard?
