No. What they're in favor of is treating the least little inconvenience as a racist attempt to rig elections. Having to have a state issued photo ID (which 90% of people have and would be beneficial to 100% for other purposes) in fact, the only people who SHOULDN'T"T WANT such an ID are 'right wing' anarchists or people otherwise trying to hide from the law...

Then you don't know a lot of 'loud' Democrats. In fairness, like the GOP, it's a few loud people who SEEM to represent, but don't, the parties.
In Crawford v Marion County, Justices Souter and Ginsberg argued that the state had to prove the existence of fraud first... and Breyer said that it was overly burdensome 'and expensive' to somehow write that you didn't have an ID because you couldn't afford one.
In the Indiana DNC brief filed (which obviously at least represents the DNC in that state) they gave the same nebulous statistics that I've seen in countless articles/blogs/court opinions/on here etc claiming 12% of voting age Americans don't have ID, 15% who earn less than 35k and 25% of African Americans... more than 21mm people... and then about how hard it is to get an ID, ignoring that the requirements for an ID aren't a lot greater than requirements for registering to vote... so rather than 'voter registration' drives, we could fund 'voter identification' drives and bring the services to them....
in other words, 90% of the barriers exist solely because we have not previously gone to any efforts to address the issues... yet it is undeniable that 'not having an ID' makes it difficult to work, get a job, open a bank account, cash a check etc etc etc.
If we REALLY cared about these people, we'd be working to make sure that EVERY citizen had a valid ID... and not 'keeping people from accessing life' so that they can be used as pawns. I don't remember Indiana's timeline, but most I've seen gave 4-6 YEARS for people to comply.
I understand why the GOP wants to put the requirement to have it before making it easier to get it... but I don't understand why the focus of the left is to stop it from happening at all rather than allowing the people it supposedly cares about greater access to so many things that 90% of us take for granted.
