If people cheated and voted when/where they are not allowed to AND DIDN'T GET CAUGHT, there's obviously no proof that they did it..................but you know that.

It's a really difficult proposition to put an accurate number of how often it occurs - much the same as people working under the table and avoiding the tax man. It's next to impossible to put finite numbers on it given how often it occurs, but isn't detected.

So you agree with me then, that saying it's an easily determinable fact that millions voted illegally, is laughable at best?

Cheating only makes a difference is close elections -- such as the one that gave a senatorial seat to Al Franken based upon ballots "found" in the trunk of an election official's car.

But cheating is cheating, and even small amounts have a corrosive effect on what should be a sacred aspect of our Constitutional government. Democrats need to come to grips with the reality that Americans, fairly or unfairly, are viewing them as the party of electoral fraud. Comments, such as that of JDTulane, that minimize actual found instances of vote fraud do not help with that perception.

Yep.

Again I state I don't care who these illegal voters voted for, it canceled out the vote of a lawful voting American citizen, essentially taking away their rights by making their vote worthless.

Or maybe our President shouldn't make baseless allegations to push that electoral fraud narrative?
Or hold people accountable when their accusations are proven false?

But I guess we only hold 1 side to any sort of standards of practice...

Or maybe one shouldn't make bets with other people if he or she doesn't intend to honor it. By welching on it, you prove to others that you have no honor.

FWIW: I hope ANYONE caught cheating in an election is held accountable. Illegal voters, double votes, using false identities. It's all shameful.

The defendants are from numerous countries, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Nigeria and Germany.

Some of them were charged in an indictment handed down by a federal grand jury in Wilmington, N.C. They were accused of filing a false claim of citizenship in order to register, and then voting.

Others were charged separately for illegally voting.

Quote:Those charged in the latest plots, according to the DOJ, include:

Jose Cruz Solano-Rodriguez, age 41, of Mexico
Guadalupe Espinosa-Pena, age 63, of Mexico
Sarah Emilia Silverio-Polanco, age 35, of the Dominican Republic
Elizabeth Nene Amachaghi, age 44, of Nigeria
Maria Rufina Castillo-Boswell, age 31, of Philippines
Dora Maybe Damatta-Rodriguez, age 64, of Panama
Elvis David Fullerton, age 54, of Grenada
Olive Agatha Martin, age 71, of Guyana
Kaoru Sauls, age 54, of Japan

Merius Jean, age 54, of Haiti
Rosemarie Angelika Harris, age 60, of Germany
Daniel Tadeusz Romanowski, age 39, of Poland
Diana Patricia Franco-Rodriguez, age 26, of Mexico
Ramon Esteban Paez-Jerez, age 58, of Dominican Republic

The Justice Department said the grand jury also returned an indictment against a 20th person, 66-year-old Denslo Allen Paige, for allegedly aiding and abetting another defendant, Espinosa-Pena, in falsely claiming United States citizenship in order to register to vote.

The cases are being investigated by a taskforce in North Carolina led by Immigration and Customs Enforcement - Homeland Security Investigations, and assisted by Enforcement Removal Operations, and the Department of State - Diplomatic Security Service.

How many voted for a Republican?

Maybe the 60 year old German, maybe.

Well, Trump's ancestry is German on his father's side. It would make sense to me.

JD, I understand your frustration. I truly do. Very little that comes out of President Trump's mouth is coherent or in anyway tethered to the truth. Yet he gets a continually gets a pass from more than 40% of the American population. No other politician, even the arrogant peacock President Obama, would get that kind of leeway over and over and over again.

But let's not confuse the issue. President Trump didn't win the election by cheating. The Democrats discredit themselves every time that they suggest that he did.

If there is cheating, and at least to a nominal level it appears that there is, it is the Democrat-leaning demographic that is more likely to be the ones attempting to take advantage of it. And it is the Democratic Party that too often is looking the other way or attempting to change the subject when called on it. It is not a good look.

pfft.

Obviously you don't understand the inference. Let me try again using smaller words.

The ACLU argued statistically that 21mm fewer people would vote because they couldn't comply with voter ID... but since they couldn't produce one single person that met that description, the obvious inference is that those 21mm people may be fraudulently voting... or that rather than it be 21mm fewer legal votes, it is 21mm deterred illegal votes.

I don't believe it's millions... but as I said... if you assume 30 initiatives on each ballot for say 10 years, that's 150 false votes per person... 3mm illegal votes would require only 10% of the number of people the ACLU estimated.

Hint... statistical facts are just that. They are facts. The interpretation of them is subject to opinion.

To be honest, I'm not saying you didn't. I'm only saying that if you don't, you should.

I've heard several people from other message board forums say that voter ID laws are racist because it's amounts to what is basically a poll tax. From my research, I've seen that a lot of states will actually issue you a state ID for free if you can't afford one or can't afford to go to the DMV (or DPS as it's called in Texas). And there's a video where someone (yes, a conservative) asks black Americans whether or not they'd be able to afford a state ID. All of them said yes, then were informed that a lot of liberals said they (black Americans) couldn't.

Here's the video. It's from 2016.

Now for the record, I'm not saying you believe that. I just wanted to throw that out there for discussion. 04-cheers
