Yep. Me and 19.8 million of my friends are guilty of pulling the lever for Perot and putting the dress defiler in office.
I know the Spin Room has talked about this before, and I promise I’m not going to unpack all the details all over again right now. But the idea that Perot is the reason why Bush/41 lost to Clinton is simply nowhere close to a proven fact.

I can hear CNN/MSNBC/NYTIMES/WAPO... (if the Republican wins) he should have won by 10% the GOP better be prepared for a big blue wave.

Yep, gives them a head start to manufacture votes. Gives them a head start to see where they can get them from and how.
Early voting is a lousy and horrible idea. They said it would make things more convenient. But only the lazy can't find a way to vote on election day.

lol doubt it, dims put everything they have into these specials in attempt to sell the scam that they are winning.
BTW, good luck w/ that in November, as it is certainly not a viable strategy nationwide.

Early voting — if done correctly — is a good idea. Obviously it’s stupid to have people voting in August for an election in November. But with the right sort of rules in place, it helps more citizens honestly participate.

Yeah, this is like when Toilet Bowl State U loses 28-14 because Memphis/UCF were goofing off and they went on a bender at a frat party the night before.
As a UCF fan, I know all about moral victories. All of those close losses in the late 90's and early 2000's. Lose to Auburn by 4. Lose to Arkansas by 7. Lose to Clemson by 8. Lose to Ole' Miss by 3. At the end of the day doesn't mean squat.

It's a solid strategy but the DNC mass media complex oversells it and screws it up.

How could you forget losing to Georgia by 1 point between the hedges.
I really thought y’all had that one.

Yeah, me too. I still think that was a dubious offensive pass interference call. Fortunately though, we FINALLY broke through in 2010 in the Liberty Bowl.

On the ’99 game, I honestly just don’t remember. Certainly it wouldn’t have been the first or last time the SEC was handed the close call when it mattered most.
I enjoyed UCF’s win against UGA in that Liberty Bowl. The Dawgs were a sh*tty team that should’ve stayed home from any bowl game.

No, not proven. Polls were inconclusive on how the Perot voters would have gone. But ultimately it was Perot's attacks on HW that doomed him.
Actually what doomed him was the good Republicans got tired of being in DC and went home. He didn't have a good staff late in his term. He brought James Baker back into the campaign too late. At least W. brought in Baker before Gore stole the 2000 election.

The Reagan Democrats went to Clinton. HW Bush was a lousy candidate and was burned out. It was a perfect storm for them.

Quote:After being routed by #4 Florida, and #10 Georgia Tech, the Golden Knights almost earned their first victory over an SEC team. UCF was defeated 24–23 by #11 Georgia in a game known as the "Burglary Between the Hedges." The Golden Knights trailed by one point, and were driving inside the red zone in the final minute. At the 20 yard line with 15 seconds left, UCF was looking at a game-winning 37-yard field goal attempt, and a monumental upset. Coach Kruczek decided to run one more play before bringing kicker Javier Beorlegui out on the field. Quarterback Vic Penn lofted a pass to Kenny Clark in the endzone, but Clark was tackled out of bounds by Bulldogs defender Jeff Harris in what appeared to be blatant pass interference. The SEC officials, however, inexcusably called offensive pass interference on UCF. The Golden Knights were backed up 15 yards, and out of field goal range, and were robbed of a chance for victory.
