But if we’re using our own experience, I’ve seen people helped by it. Not cured, but with relief of symptoms.
Our nation already has an illegal and prescription drug problem. Legalizing weed isn't going to help. There has to be other legal remedies for people dealing with real medical conditions. Just being high shouldn't be the solution.
I've never seen a country better their people by legalizing pot.

That's right. #1 is what will happen in Infinity War Part 2.

Yea, I agree on that part, but so what? If the "intoxication" wears off sooner, similar to other substances, what difference does it make how long it's in your system?
Make it legal, and give the anti-tobacco lobby a new purpose! Let them turn into a general anti-smoking lobby that educates people on the side effects of pot smoking.
Everyone knows that cigarettes kill, because the anti-tobacco lobby is good at their jobs. But right now there's a LOT of people who think that pot has zero side effects.

You haven’t seen many countries legalize marijuana. Not very many have yet.

Portugal might beg to differ. They seem pretty happy with their results.

Tell it to these kids and their families. There are a ton of videos like this one. I'd ask that you watch the whole thing, only about 8 minutes.
Now, this is cbd oil with thc levels so low as to be virtually non-existent so it's a little different than legal use for recreational purposes but it does show that there are legitimate uses.

Yes they do, if I'm not mistaken they have decriminalized all drug use opting instead to treat it as a medical issue rather than a legal one.
I have evolved on this issue and now support full legalization. Whether it is legal or not, you'll always have your 10% that are going to be total phuck ups. I don't think legalizing it will create new phuck ups, but instead will provide a better avenue for phuck ups to phuck up without affecting the rest of us so much. Will also provide a better avenue for functional phuck ups to be able to phuck up and remain functional without getting sloshed and beating their wives and kids or wrapping their car around a telephone pole. Finally, in a non-social digital world, it gives the non-phuck ups (like myself) a better way to waste their 2 hours of daily free time in solitude.

I think it should be 21 for recreational and 18 for medical. The brain is still developing up until age 25, so I think the higher age limit seems more appropriate.
I think you should have to be able to claim yourself on your 1040. Regardless of whether you are 18 or 30, if someone else can claim you as a dependent, no buds for you.

....unless you have a medical condition that can be helped with it like the kids above, right?

CBD oil? Sure.
Flowers to pack the bowl? I prefer limited to adults that are able to support themselves. Either way, I really don't care that much, but I prefer my son not be able to go into 7-Eleven and buy weed until the point that he has accumulated enough responsibility that he cannot afford to be high all day everyday. I prefer he not be able to go into 7-Eleven and buy it at 18 years old when he should be in school, growing his network, and chasing skirts. At least if it is illegal and he wants to smoke it, it requires a bit of networking and social interaction to get it in the first place.
This is the main difference between child and adult pot smokers from my experience. Maybe it is due to the socioeconomic class I managed to find myself in, but adult pot smokers I know tend to be responsible with it while the kids I knew growing up that smoked it were almost universally burnouts that showed up to school high and then smoked at lunch and then smoked immediately after school. I don't know any adults that are high all day unless they are on vacation.
