'Unhinged' Maxine Waters Claims Americans Are 'Sick and Tired' of Trump
Quote:During a Saturday “Families Belong Together” immigration rally in Los Angeles, Calif., Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) reignited her calls to impeach President Donald Trump.

“I am not about to let this country go by the way of Donald Trump,” she said. “We are sick and tired of him. He's been there too long. They dare me to say 'Impeach him.' Today I say, 'Impeach 45.'”

As a Conservative, sometimes you just can't believe how stupid the Dems are. Letting Low IQ Maxine become the face and mouth of their party is a gift from the political gods you just accept, smile and let it continue to happen.

Are they stupid or too intimidated to try and reel her in? Remember, if you try and talk any civility or logic to this woman you're considered a racist. In the end it doesn't matter as the political damage she causes her party continues unhindered. As you say, the gift that keeps on giving...

What I would give for a strong gust of wind to up and blow that wig off her head when she was giving that diatribe.

The 4 polls from last week have him at 47, 43, 45, and 47. RCP average continues to set higher lows and higher highs. If he can get his SCOTUS appointee and maybe another round of tax cuts before the midterms, I wouldn't be surprised if he is sitting at >50% on election day.

I just wish he wasn't screwing around with trade wars. Those have great potential to undo all the good that he has done.

Trade wars are, indeed, very harmful and destructive. I wish other nations, most notably China, did not wage such wars against us. But as long as they do, I don’t entirely blame Trump for responding in kind.

You can be a punching bag for so long before you have to punch back.

Exactly. He just needs to choose his battles. China needs to be one.

The trade wars are about balance as much as they are about advantage. The US has been paying the piper for a long time and it is about time we leveled the paying field.

It all comes back to oil, and now that we can be fuel independent, we could shut off the import train and do just fine. We are now at a point where the world needs us to spend more than we need the world (first time in a very long time). So these companies and countries have to make a decision, reduce tariffs or bring the work here so their product can be made and sold here. Its a win/win for the US in the long run.

Bretton Woods wasn't just a currency regime. There were side deals, some unspoken. We needed the world for a different purpose--to support us in the Cold War. So we agreed to tilt the trade playing field in their favor, and to use our military to protect trade worldwide so they didn't have to rebuild theirs, in exchange for their agreement to fall in line behind us in the Cold War. Problem is, nobody planned on winning.

Ross Perot said something in 1992 that I had been saying for a while, "In the post-Cold-War era, economic power will be more important than military power." But we never shifted gears. We're still playing the world's policeman and drawing the ire of the likes of al-Qaeda and ISIS. And we're still giving the world the high side of a very unlevel trade playing field.

I've shared how I would go about it several times. See Post #15367739. Not the way Trump is doing it, at least not exactly.
