RE: 'Unhinged' Maxine Waters Claims Americans Are 'Sick and Tired' of Trump - usmbacker - 07-01-2018 05:05 PM As a Conservative, sometimes you just can't believe how stupid the Dems are. Letting Low IQ Maxine become the face and mouth of their party is a gift from the political gods you just accept, smile and let it continue to happen. RE: 'Unhinged' Maxine Waters Claims Americans Are 'Sick and Tired' of Trump - thespiritof1976 - 07-01-2018 05:16 PM Where are Americans sick and tired of him ? Where ? In California ? Great. Are they stupid or too intimidated to try and reel her in? Remember, if you try and talk any civility or logic to this woman you're considered a racist. In the end it doesn't matter as the political damage she causes her party continues unhindered. As you say, the gift that keeps on giving... RE: 'Unhinged' Maxine Waters Claims Americans Are 'Sick and Tired' of Trump - thespiritof1976 - 07-01-2018 05:33 PM What I would give for a strong gust of wind to up and blow that wig off her head when she was giving that diatribe. RE: 'Unhinged' Maxine Waters Claims Americans Are 'Sick and Tired' of Trump - Kronke - 07-01-2018 06:26 PM The 4 polls from last week have him at 47, 43, 45, and 47. RCP average continues to set higher lows and higher highs. If he can get his SCOTUS appointee and maybe another round of tax cuts before the midterms, I wouldn't be surprised if he is sitting at >50% on election day. RE: 'Unhinged' Maxine Waters Claims Americans Are 'Sick and Tired' of Trump - Owl 69/70/75 - 07-01-2018 06:31 PM I just wish he wasn't screwing around with trade wars. Those have great potential to undo all the good that he has done. But as long as they do, I don’t entirely blame Trump for responding in kind. RE: 'Unhinged' Maxine Waters Claims Americans Are 'Sick and Tired' of Trump - Eldonabe - 07-02-2018 10:02 AM The trade wars are about balance as much as they are about advantage. The US has been paying the piper for a long time and it is about time we leveled the paying field. It all comes back to oil, and now that we can be fuel independent, we could shut off the import train and do just fine. We are now at a point where the world needs us to spend more than we need the world (first time in a very long time). So these companies and countries have to make a decision, reduce tariffs or bring the work here so their product can be made and sold here. Its a win/win for the US in the long run. The US has been paying the piper for a long time and it is about time we leveled the paying field. Bretton Woods wasn't just a currency regime. There were side deals, some unspoken. We needed the world for a different purpose--to support us in the Cold War. So we agreed to tilt the trade playing field in their favor, and to use our military to protect trade worldwide so they didn't have to rebuild theirs, in exchange for their agreement to fall in line behind us in the Cold War. Problem is, nobody planned on winning. Ross Perot said something in 1992 that I had been saying for a while, "In the post-Cold-War era, economic power will be more important than military power." But we never shifted gears. We're still playing the world's policeman and drawing the ire of the likes of al-Qaeda and ISIS. And we're still giving the world the high side of a very unlevel trade playing field. I've shared how I would go about it several times. See Post #15367739. Not the way Trump is doing it, at least not exactly. |
