I bet you money that many here don't remember him, lol...
He was hooked early on.

Just a thought....

If sports gambling is now legal and the various leagues find a way to skim a percentage from the states (like MLB), would that open the door for Pete Rose to finally get into the Hall where he belongs?

Didnt he bet on games that he played in? I believe that was the big issue.

Yes as a player manager.

Ginsburg and Sotomayor voted for the government. The other 7 voted for the constitution. Now Breyer said the whole statue shouldn't have been voided, only the unconstitutional part.

Irrelevant. Its still a rule that players and managers can't bet.

And its kind of a joke that he isn't in the hall with all the other people who have done questionable things. NOBODY thinks Pete Rose ever gave anything less than 110%.

fight what? It doesn't say states have to allow it, just says the Feds can't bar states from allowing sports gambling.

Texas has been very much against legal casino gambling. Here in El Paso the Tigua Indians have a casino in which they had legal gambling until the state closed that part down. The Tiguas have been fighting the ruling and they've been unsuccessful.

El Paso sure could use some gambling taxes and so would the state. Who knows what will happen.
