For the record, this isn’t coming from the University.

This isn’t likely coming from Tubby.

So the only sources would be Penny’s camp and boosters.

The GP story about Penny wanting Larry Brown is obviously either Penny or someone who knows Penny’s desires.

So Penny’s people talking isn’t surprising or offensive.

Considering the overwhelming excitement it has generated, the timing might suck but at least the program knows what optimism feels like again.

This. Firing someone is always messy.

The Leaking has come from the two key $$ boosters who are leading the change. Didn't come from either Penny's or the UOM side....this was smartly planned and structured for maximum pressure on the UOM admin and create excitement from fans.

Those reporting these stories disagree with you. So you think they are protecting these boosters and lying about Penny's people? That would be a dangerous game to play with the new head coach.

If Penny let his wishes be known to his inner circle and somebody he confided it to, leaked it, whether a influential booster or his camp then it is what it is. If it was any other average coach taking the job then it probably wouldn’t have been leaked so quickly but it’s Penny and that’s a big.....BIG deal
