It is Owen's right to disassociate with an organization that normalizes Mike Huckabee, and his campaign to
That's one heck of a straw man you're starting on there... let's see where this goes.
Quote:He literally advocated locking up all people with HIV in internment camps.
I believe the medical term is quarantine, and he disputes he meant even that.
"I had simply made the point -- and I still believe this today -- that in the late '80s and early '90s, when we didn't know as much as we do now about AIDS, we were acting more out of political correctness than we were about the normal public health protocols that we would have acted,"
He was wrong, but he did not propose internment camps or forced isolation.
If you're going to throw around words like "literally" than buy a damn dictionary.
Quote:And then refused to recant it, most notably in 2008 when running for President.
Use that dictionary to look up "recant"... Can you "recant" something you never said?
Quote:And then there's his advocacy against women, pro-life (lol) but simultaneously attacks women who have children out of wedlock.
Folks on you're side of the isle are nobody to cast aspersions at attacking women. Or was attacking Palin cool because her ****** did not allow her to disagree with you.
Quote:Why would any LGBT person, or anyone who doesn't wish them harm, work with any organization that normalizes Huckabee's views?
And there is the cap on the straw man... The CMA has nothing to do with "normalizing" Hucks views. Some people can chew gum and walk at the same time. In the same way I can work with the most noxious progressive marxist in the world on things not pertaining to public policy.
Quote:I suppose that all of y'all upset with this move would be equally upset by those, like Casey Cagle, advocating punishment by the government no less, for those entities not endorsing the NRA?
I think I found your malfunction tom. Nobody here is really all that upset over this. It's funny, it's a sign the left still has not learned a damn thing since 2016, and it's pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
But when you're on the left you have to attack everything and every one no matter how unrelated they are to what you are supposedly advocating for.
