A few years ago the police provided free no soliciting signs.

People still came to the door to solicit. Since then, I have added two more no soliciting signs, one on a fence you have to pass by and a window cling on the front door storm door.

I kindly point them out every time one comes to the door.

You know how to make solicitors drop their jaws? As soon as you open the door, ask them, "okay, what you selling?" Their answer will most likely be, "I'm not selling anything". Then you tell them, "well, then I'm not interested" and close the door, leaving them there with a sagging jaw. LOL

RE: What grinds your gears?
Where I live you need a permit to sell door-to-door and a condition of that permit is that you will comply with the city do not knock list.

So anytime the magazine sales scammers come by (Office Space) I ask to see their permit and they will have some collection of homemade ID cards none of which look like the permit. I close the door, call non-emergency dispatch for the cops and let them know what is up. They've managed to invite two different people to spend the night with them because of outstanding warrants.

If you had a permit you aren't likely to come to my door because I'm on the do not knock list.

ABQ has the same law.

Sherwood, Arkansas enforces because most of the day there isn't much else for the cops to do other than run radar, a larger city like Albuquerque may be a bit busier.

I hate that place because they've jacked up their prices. Sometimes that's the only place to watch a game.

Here's one:

Not cleaning the coffe pot, and someone turns it on and warms up the pot made the day before.

The 50 LED blue lights on cop cars. If they are pulled over on the side of the road at night, you can't see a cop standing on the edge of the road because you're driving blind. After you pass, still blind.
And not that kind of driving blind.

Yea that's a good one. Very difficult to see ANYTHING after seeing all those lights.

There have been a few studies indicating the increase in lighting on emergency vehicles has increased accidents. Researcher at a panel I was at said the new lights suck drivers in like a moth to flame.
