RE: What grinds your gears?
Kind of trivial, but it bugs me when people don't use the right hand door when exiting a building that has double doors. This especially irked me in college, because it usually coincided with classes being let out, and then a whole string of people would follow.
----
Also double doors at businesses or restaurants with one door always locked for some reason. What the hell's the point of having double doors if one's constantly locked.

Believe it or not it's a call sign like right hand active. Meaning the door with right hand swing is active. The other usually doesn't have a closer and is only opened when big crowds or big furniture are expected.

I work in a large health care system that employees 35,000 people. We are also faith-based. On Veteran's Day one day one of the nuns sent out a company-wide email to honor veterans. At least 150 people responded with a "thanks" or "me too" to everyone in the system. We then got another 75 or so people telling people to stop hitting "reply to all". We then got another 40-50 "sorry about that's" or "my bad's".
One of my clients is a Fortune 20, and about a year ago their entire email system was shut down for a couple of hours due to a company-wide reply all crisis. Would've been hilarious if they weren't so pissed.
...segue to my complaint: Clients who call at/near close of business, expecting to chat for an hour.
One of my wife's-People who schedule meetings at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon.
I decline those.

RE: What grinds your gears?
Arriving at a four way stop after someone and that someone indicates with their hand for to me to go, even though I arrived after them. This occurs mostly with those turning, but have had a couple of people who are driving straight ahead. All they do is waste time by not going when it is their turn. Because then I'm watching them carefully. This also has happened to me when people have been stopped for 3 to 5 seconds.

I refuse to go in that situation. I'll sit there until they go. It seems to happen from women more than anything.
Similarly, I hate it when someone is waiting at a four way stop as I approach...going about 1 mile and hour...clearly slowing to stop...and they sit there and sit there and sit there until I come to a complete and final stop.

Intersection near my house is not a four way. When I roll up to the stop sign, probably 75% of the time I'm turning left. Inevitably the moron across the busy main street from me is turning right or going straight and when the traffic clears sits there for me to turn left across their path or waves for me to do it.
Stupid m-effers were actually tested on this to get a license.

Also irritating when it happens to me while riding the bike (bicycle). 1) Not doing me any favors if I'm already coming to a stop, 2) inevitably, because I'm coming to a stop, or am stopped, now I'm going to be slow to accelerate and someone ELSE is going to think I'm not going, or taking too long, and will go, right about the time I start moving into the intersection.
Now, I just sit there and wait.

At a sporting event, or even on the sidewalk, when a group of people will stop to talk and form a big circle right in the middle of the walkway...blocking it for all the other people who just want to get by. So inconsiderate and so annoying.

At least you obey the law on your bike. 90% of the bicyclists in ABQ just keep going through a four way stop.
