RE: What grinds your gears?
I'm looking at a major addition to my house and was just surprised by a new city ordinance requiring 30ft set-backs from the property line. Each of my neighbors has hardscape under the old 10ft set-back, but now I cannot do this addition.

I am accepting of this reality and might ask for a variance but basically I have to go up, not out. Damn. Changes everything.

Are Affliction shirts still in?

Love seeing Montana tagged vehicles with Salt Life decals.

This is nuts...I had never even heard of this...much less seen the phrase to the best of my knowledge. Then last night, in Meijer, I saw a kid wearing a Salt Life t-shirt. What are the odds?

RE: What grinds your gears?
Traffic circles:

1. People who don't like them just because they're anti anything new or better. And,
2. Morons who don't know how to drive through them.

Last night on the way home...at a two lane roundabout. I'm in the right lane with two cars in front of me. A full length semi is in the left lane. The semi proceeds to move through the roundabout. The asshat in the right lane sits there. The guy in front of me throws his hands up at the same time I do...likely cussing the fool out as I was. I guess the idiot thought that the truck just decided to pull out in front of other vehicles and that said vehicles were going to magically pass through the semi and hit him. 03-banghead

RE: What grinds your gears?
I have a real distaste for military and police stickers on vehicles. Just rubs me the wrong way. Saw a truck this morning and this guy was all Punisher this, Iraq vet that, Freedom Isn't Free etc etc. Probably maxed out at Specialist as my veteran neighbor likes to say about guys like this........

I understand you are proud of your service, but as my Vietnam vet dad says, be humble and let your actions speak for yourself. Telling everyone you're an Iraq vet, what is the projection there? Why the thin blue line flag sticker? You trying to get out of a ticket?

Anyway, yes, this is controversial and probably unpopular. But it does grind my gears.

It's spreading.

Personally never used their stuff so I'm not sure how it is. I definitely don't own any of their products or advertising goods.

I get tickled when a guy goes salt fishing once and he's living the "Salt Life".

I want to make "Salty Life" shirts and stickers and pass them out to jerks.

I own a Forged Legend shirt. It was for the Chris Kyle fund. I only wear it every now and then. But I get what you're saying. I'm not in military shape by any means and in my 30s. However when I see a kid that's barely legal to buy beer, pull up with that all over their vehicle and can barely walk two feet without stopping for a breather I chuckle.

I wear my Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club baseball cap often. And I have a coffee cup at work with my ribbons and badges painted on. I also occasionally wear a t-shirt with “beaucoup dinky dau” (very crazy) on it. Otherwise no.

She won the gold metal in the biathlon.
