Using the nonscientific polling method of counting yard signs in my SW Austin neighborhood, Beto will win in a landslide.

Counting signs in Austin also predicted a Hillary landslide in both the country and in Texas.

So you're saying my methodology is flawed?

Unless you are postulating that, “As goes SW Austin, so goes Texas.”

What does President Bernie Sanders have to say about that?

"The system was rigged!"

By the Democrats.

I would theorize that there would be an awful large margin of error around that result.

What a remarkably stupid thing for him to say. That's very disappointing.

RE: Texas Senate Race
The numbers show Beto's numbers softening up. Even in light of the record donation raising he is doing.

I think his comments would do him well to get elected in Connecticut or California. Not necessarily in Texas. I will give him kudos for unabashedly stating what he is for and is against; example of his comments on gun control are great evidence of that.

Im starting to lump Beto into the Bernie pile: I respect them greatly for their honesty and candor.

RE: Texas Senate Race
Looks like Theodore isnt going to duck Robert in debates. Theodore has come out in favor of 5 one hour productions.

Seems Theodore wants to negate the moneyraising efforts and tie Robert down to positions. I dont know if it will be beneficial for Robert to do what he has to do this early -- jump cleanly and clearly into the progressive camp in Texas. I can see a path to winning for Robert if he tries to muddy his 'progressive stance' and try to appeal to 'middle of the road Texas voters' -- but middle of the road Texas style is quite conservative/libertarian.

Robert has been clamoring for debates; but, for some odd reason I dont know if I would want to jump in whole hog against a national debate champion, and someone who has literally done that massive number of appellate court and SCOTUS appearances (not pleadings, mind you, appearances).

The rule of thumb seems to be that Senators who go by Ted as a nickname for Edward are kinda jerks.

Before my time, but Ted Brooke seemed like a legitimate badass.

Not a Senator, but Teddy Rooseveldt?

I'd buy that one.

I must admit, though, until I reached the punch line I thought you meant the other clinton.

A Cruz nomination would be fun just to see the left become birthers.

His given name was Theodore, not Edward/Edmund.
