That Memphis AD needs to be fired. I cant recall a bigger screw up. It was bad enough that they paid Pastner so much to leave but then they threw an obscene amount at Old Man Tubby who cant & wont recruit as needed or hire anyone who will.

He is a football guy from the west coast and was brought in to develop football, which he has been extremely successful at. However, basketball has suffered as a result. The plan was to get into the Big 12 and they were close, but the Big 12 then decided not to expand.
I would much rather see a good Memphis basketball team than a good Memphis football team

That may be why Memphis hired him instead of you. LOL
The status of football - even at a private church related school - was illustrated at BSC who sacrificed all its D1 sports programs in order to start a D3 football team for which they built a new stadium.
What happens if / when the Big 12 decides to grow to 12 or 14 teams? Right now, it is practically the only growth potential P5 conference.
