I was told only two boxes up there - the rest is Press? or ? ? ? One for the President and one for the biggest money we can get. That will free at least 2 boxes in the endzone plus I hear loge seats are going to be available in the endzone because a lot of folks are moving from that area to the Priority One seating in the West Stands. I would add things keep changing and my info is at least 6 weeks old.

I think it will also have the coaches boxes. I haven't seen anything like the old one that was on the east side in the renderings.

You mean we’re not going to keep tradition and go old-school and make the coaches push their way through the crowd at the half?

RE: NEW stadium construction
The deck below the press box seems useless unless they'll put consessions and toilets up there. I don't see any of that in the renderings.

Does the stadium have a medical room where players/fans can get immediate emergency treatment? How about a kitchen to support future suites?

Since the old stadium lacked the eat, piss and **** amenities, I'm anxious to see the improvements. Maybe place a cam under the stadium to see the progress of that project.

Where is the visitor locker room?

The new renderings are fine. The press box looks like it’ll be temporary until a future phase deems it necessary to upgrade.

I see what you are saying about the space below the press box now. Had not seen that before. Seems like a good area to stretch your legs and look at the river.

Think it's cool that both sides will have a covered "concourse" that allow you to watch the game while standing up and moving around a little.

RE: NEW stadium construction
The tweet from HM with the new renderings said there will be two scoreboard ribbons and a new video board installed for opening day.

The renderings do not show the new video board (unless I just missed it). Any speculation about the new video board (where will it be, screen size)? I think it will be installed on top of the game day building where it was shown in earlier renderings of the first design.

Greg DuBois, ODU's Vice President for Administration and Finance, said the videoboard will be located at the same place, near the north end zone, as the current scoreboard.

They'll make the visiting team change in public at the 50 yard line.

RE: NEW stadium construction
New video board will go in the same place as the old one. HM did say that it has the ability to be moved over the new north endzone (whenever they build that) so the cost will not be wasted. Many fans on the east side will not be able to see the score board in its current location until the NEZ is built and video board moved.

RE: NEW stadium construction
It will be an awesome video board. This is exactly what was needed in this phase. Daktronics worked closely with ODU to make this happen. After the Liberty game it was clear what we needed to do. I am OK with it being in the same location for the time being. It will likely be there for 2 seasons while they figure out what to do with the NEZ.

I dont think it should go more than 2 seasons before the NEZ is done.

Don't get too excited for this new videoboard its only slightly bigger than what we have now. Hoping one day we can get a videoboard similar to Liberty.

It will....trust me. It will not be next year, 50/50 the following year, and 80-20 the year after that. You are talking another $8-12M to make this happen. That is a lot of money to generate in such a short time.

Not 100% correct. The video part will be much larger. The overall size of the scoreboard will not be much larger is correct.

Any upgrade is good but this only caters to the home side when it comes to the line of sight of the video board. The visitor side is going to be iffy at best.

I guess 2,000-3,000 people will not be able to see the videoboard at all, maybe more.
