First I've heard of this. Is it a new section in the new portions of the stadium, or something being done to the game day building? Would love to see renderings of that.

The reseating process as I understand it currently, is that based on your points this year you will be put in order to select. This will be the last year they are allowed to use points to do a seating for tickets / seats. Once you select your seats they will be yours as long as you pay the seat reservation fee along with the ticket cost. Then you will have to make a donation to ODAF for the other amenities such as (Tailgate spot, BBR, away tickets, etc.). The final prices for seats have not been determined yet but you should plan on a cost for prime seats 40-40 yard line sections to be in the $400 to $600 per seat depending on side. This price would also includes the ticket. The Donation to ODAF will depend on what tailgate lot you would like to be in and if you want BBR / VIP, etc. I am sure much will depend on how this season turns out. It is not a good time to be asking donors to pay more money considering the product that has been put on the field.
So if I'm reading this correctly, I need to jack up my donation more this year (2018) to get my seating spot for the 2019-2020 season? Or, will I be able to donate before the season next year and pledge as usual, and then my seats selection will be based off that?
If you are planning some future financial decision, I recommend calling the ODAF office. (757) 683-6963
Nothing major, just my group usually bumps up our donations in a reseating year (as do most). I'll reach out and see what they say.
Side note: A buddy in my group just pledged $50k toward the stadium. That got him a plaque on a locker which he didn't want; so he was able to talk his way into a plaque on one of the trophy display cases. Seems a bit rich to me to be asking $50k for your name on a locker that no one will ever see (for those that want it to be seen). Heck, if they had the option, I'd donate $1k to have my name over a urinal... "This urinal proudly brought to you buy.....", but seems like they'd want about $50k+ for that public display.

They should have one big plaque with 500-1000 small names on it. Anyone who gives $1000 or more gets their name on it and its placed somewhere on the concourse or right outside of the stadium. How nice for students or future students to be able to go to a game and point to the plaque and see their grandparents or parents name up there. Thats how people will feel ownership of the program. And a good way to raise $1 million bucks without taking up a lot of real estate. Outside of the Raven's stadium there is a nice sign with the names of the original PSL purchasers that made the stadium happen. ODU should (or should have by now) done something similar.

From what I can tell, the brick program has only been discussed on this board. Not from anyone associated with the school. If they were going to do that right, they would have started about a year ago. Maybe they've reached out to higher level donors than me?

After reading about it here, I reached out to my ODAF contact and verified it is in the works and should be rolled out in the beginning of November. They're still working out all the details but the cost will be between $200 to $600. I'm guessing that widespread range is due to them offering two types/sizes of bricks but didn't ask for any more information after that.

My ODAF rep reached out to set a meet-up and have a chat about the new donation/ticket structure. I'll make sure to relay what I'm told.

I believe it's a total mechanical renovation. The building is to remain.

No just during stadium construction. I think they are also doing a rehab of Koch as well.

Pretty sure they just replaced the AC system. That building was marked for demolition by the master plan.

The roof and HVAC will be replaced at Koch Hall and was timed to coincide with the football stadium rebuild. Occupants are being scattered to different buildings on campus temporarily and the work is supposed to last about a year.

Has anyone noticed that the lights in HM's article, do not match that lights that have been released with the renderings back in April.
This bugs me and just like ODU. Come out with a new plan and build something different.
