RE: NEW stadium construction
That overhang, which I'm assuming is the press box, looks skeletal above the Founder's Club.

Well it's a cross section rendering so I don't believe it's expected to look full furnished. But I mean a press box is just a box right? =]

RE: NEW stadium construction
They have the $ for the upgraded scoreboard. The question is do they have the $ within the total budget to move and construct it over the North end zone.

The school has asked the state for permission to spend an additional $2.5 million in private funds to add club-level seating, said Michael Maul, an associate director of the state department of planning and budget.

Good to hear this confirmed and sounds like there should be no issue getting approval.

So right now we are spending:
$65M for stadium
$2.5M for Founders Club
$5M (estimate) for scoreboard
$1M for new turf

$73.5M total

I'm interested in seeing the pricing for this new founders club and see if it has any impact on the cost for the PNC club and beer garden. Will make sure to discuss with my ODAF rep when we meet.

I over estimated the scoreboard. $2M doesnt seem like that would get us what Liberty has. But what do I know. I really hope they have better graphics in the endzones. Some color would be nice.

Met my rep last week. Even after watching the MU loss, I still feel optimistic about our program with the stadium coming very soon.

Oklahoma's new scoreboard only cost $1.5 mil to purchase. Installation costs brought it to an estimated $2.8 mil. Given the size difference of our stadium and Oklahoma's, $2.5 seems like a pretty good budget.

The beer garden is a big issue for me. Is it staying put? Are they making it so the boozers (pot, meet kettle) actually watch the game by moving it?

Setting aside the issue of selling beer in the stadium (for 3 quarters) of course.

But the one they are talking about is their north end zone board and its really small about the size of what ever we have at ours right now may be a tiny big bigger than ours. Never mind we might get a decent sized board for 2.5 MM.

from that article The cost of the new board will be no more than $2,800,000 for the construction and no more than $1,500,000 for the purchase and installation. The new scoreboard will be 38 feet high and 62 feet wide

They didn't disclose that. Private school. Their total cost of the last renovation was $40million.

This one for a high school in Texas was estimated to be $500,000. I'm hoping we get something quite a bit nicer than that, and with a budget of double or triple that amount, it seems we should be able to get something nice.

I think we will be getting a nice scoreboard, just don't know where its going to go. My guess is either over the north endzone or in the NW corner of the stadium.

1.5mil. Also we will likely not get the new scoreboard moved to the north end zone. I think they prioritized the new Founders club vs relocating the scoreboard and a top of the line scoreboard.

To me the upgraded Scoreboard located in the right location from a game atmosphere is much more important than the Founders club. However the founders club could generate recurring revenue for ODAF.
