Man, that final phase does look nice. I've been trying to temper my expectations and only looking at the phase one renderings. I'd forgot how good the final might look one day. I'd love to see it come to fruition in the next 15 years, but I'm not optimistic.

At this rate, it's at least 2 years before phase one is done. I would imagine it would be piecemeal effort to get to the final phase. If we have that beautiful stadium (and beautiful scoreboard) within five years I'd be completely shocked and Selig would deserve a ton of credit. I'm guessing 15 years is hoping for too much.

I approve your optimism and faith in Selig since I lack it. Maybe he thinks he used up all his luck to get into CUSA?

...I sure hope not. Or at the very least they need to make the seat space bigger. Folks are substantially bigger in the 21st century.

So, construction supposedly begins in earnest in less than 8 months. You would think they would have released some plans and renderings (if they exist) by now. Starting to wonder if they won't push this whole thing back another year.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a 1 year delay. But it would be worth it if it means doing the stadium right, as opposed to doing it sooner and building something sub-standard.

Will there be any stadium announcement at the Spring Game?

So I guess nobody got any good stadium intel at the Spring Game they can report? Was hoping there'd be some chatter or maybe even an official announcement. :(

Fair enough. Though in your first post, you said you hoped for an official announcement when they had already made clear that wasnt happening.

Anyone I know is either really good at staying tight lipped or there really is nothing new out of admin yet. End of month can't get here soon enough.

Only 2 pages on the spring game. I know it is not a scientific sample, but I think our run as a "football school" might be coming to an end. I hope they don't invest any money in a stadium rennovation at this time. Would be better off spending the money on coaching and recruiting with winning, the money should follow. The buzz is gone.
