And another citing this Papa character bragging about his contact with this Professor that the Prof says is all a load of crap. Never claimed to have whatever Papa claims he said he had and never introduced him to any "niece" of Putins, whatever that could possibly mean.

But... But... but... he pled GUILTY!!! So it must have happened and must all be true. Ahem. He pled to misleading an FBI agent about date and time he sent some emails or made some calls. Faces somewhere between zerO time and max of 6 months.

IOW's HALF what a shoplifting beef can get you.

03-yawn

You know they have communications backing up Papas claims, yes? Clovis has already admitted as much.

Claims of WHAT?!?

That he tried, numerous times to be a "playa" and set up some meeting between Trump or Trump folk and some mysterious Russian professor that says he didn't have anything?

These same attempts that were rebuffed and got shot down, not once, not twice, nor three times, but EVERY time he tried.

Brother came away empty handed and is now carrying the bag for being stupid along the way.

Next.

Rebuffed?

Quote:In August 2016, Clovis responded to efforts by Papadopoulos to organize an "off the record" meeting with Russian officials. "I would encourage you" and another foreign policy adviser to the campaign to "make the trip, if it is feasible," Clovis wrote.

I think you need to go back to the drawing board.

Isn't Clovis a radio talk show guy or something? Not looking. He speaks for the President?

I don't see the name Trump anywhere in there. What information did Papa gather and who in the Trump campaign used it, and where?

Why bother reading the sources I provide when you can instead feign ignorance, and not worry about being wrong? Clovis was a campaign official who Trump had picked as head of the FDA, and lookie here, turns out he just testified without the White House knowing.

Nope, never said that, in fact I believe it's the second time I've had to correct you on this same lie. Why feel the need to make up things instead of just addressing the words I've actually written?

You corrected me before on this?

Prove it. Post the link where you corrected me.

I was absolutely wrong, it was another poster who made the same baseless claim, though the point still stands. I have never made the original statement you claimed though, and have stated explicitly that I do not think that is the case.

I appreciate the honesty UCF.

I always try to admit when I'm clearly wrong, though if I can be entirely blunt, I'd appreciate you admitting that your original statement was an unfair characterization of my position. I don't think Trump can/should/is throwing people in jail without any due process, and I made that pretty clear in that thread.

Does it matter to you if it's shown the Trump campaign reached out to Russia to get those hacked emails, and in the process, admitted to talking about sanctions? Because that's what happened.

Anyone who tacitly approves of Trump doing this are not only painfully short-sighted of any historical context or ability to think critically beyond their own childish emotions, theyre also the opposite of patriotic. You really think this is a good precedent to set? Hope you like the Chinese controlling our interests, or Europe for that matter. Do you have any concept of the epic sh*tstorm that would result in. Anyone who's ever worried about corporate influence in our elections needs to think for about half of a second before they realize how bad inviting state level actors into the mix. You want to b*tch about Soros or the Koch bros influence?

AP Story - How Russia Hacked the DNC
The Clintons literally sold influence to foreign governments and entities.

Trump's son took a meeting with Fusion GPS folks on Clinton's payroll offering dirt for free.

Well, I feel that since we're being honest, I've been to Hattiesburg twice to games with friends, and I had a ball both times. Always root for you guys, partially cause you seemed to be one of our toughest opponents.

All I want in the end is for the same standard to be applied to everyone with equal vigor. If that happens, then let the chips fall where they may. But I don't think that's going to happen.

Their bots did push anti-Trump narratives, but often the sort that most of america would disagree with. Fact is, a lot of the negative BLM and Antifa stuff is Russian. You can argue they're pushing anti-Trump ideas, but their motives are pretty clear if you're not being disingenuous. Furthermore, it completely ignores the fact it's been proven multiple, high level members of the Trump campaign reached out to Russian agents for this harmful material, with one meeting explicitly talking about the Russian sanctions.

This should matter to you.

Quote:The agreement, according to Brazile, “specified that in exchange for raising money and investing in the DNC, Hillary would control the party’s finances, strategy and all the money raised. Her campaign had the right of refusal of who would be the party communications director, and it would make final decisions on all the other staff. The DNC also was required to consult with the campaign about all other staffing, budgeting, data, analytics and mailings.”

Over the previous six years, Democrats had lost 60-plus House seats, nine Senate seats, 14 governorships and 1,000 state and local offices. Russians didn’t do that. Democrats did — with the help of a surging Republican Party that found itself after election night in its strongest electoral position across the country since 1928.

Democrats need to understand their own role in their own rotting position — including how they sold themselves to the Clintons for a mess of pottage they never even got to eat — if they are to have any hope of reversing the Republican tide.

Even if their fantasies were made flesh today and Donald Trump were somehow banished from Washington, the Democratic Party would be in no stronger institutional shape than it was yesterday.

1. Then prove it. Have Trump appoint a special prosecutor to look into Hillary and her flagrantly criminal past, and if she's actually guilty, lock her up. But, and this is the important part so pay attention, her guilt or lack of guilt plays absolutely no part in Trumps potential guilt or lack of guilt.

2. This whole "Clinton actually colluded to set up Trump Jr trying to collude" thing is sad, even for a water-carrying Trumpest.

Sure does, seems like we should look into it and investigate fully. So, about the thing we were talking about before you changed the subject in the hopes I would be as blindly partisan as yourself; should we do the same thing with Trump?

For Christ's sake, Trump has been under investigation for how long now and the biggest thing you can come up with is that some Russians promised some dirt on Hillary and his son-in-law was interested? Ok. I'm sure Mueller will file charges soon if laws were broken though I doublt the Trump campaign was the first in American history to have an interest in dirt on its opponents. In the meantime, it looks like there's no there there as it relates to the work of the Special Prosecutor.

What more do you want us to say? Trump had the help of the MSM to win the election?

"Some Russians" being people he understood to be lawyers working for the Russian government He also went to that meeting with Trumps son-in-law, and his campaign manager who is literally being charged with about a dozen felonies. At this meeting, Trumps son has also admitted that Russian sanctions were discussed. Furthermore, we also now know that Sessions was aware of Papadopolous's interest in Russia, with another Trump official approving of his trip to Russia to meet with Russian agents. Sessions denied any knowledge of Russian collusion or interest of collusion by Trumps campaign while testifying under oath in the Senate.

Funding or trying to source harmful information on ones opponent is a far cry from reaching out for assistance from a foreign government, while also discussing sanctions against said government. You do grasp this, yes?

Same here. Bad behavior knows no party.

Unfortunately, when it comes to politics bad behavior seemingly knows no justice, either.
