The mom works at UT.
Probably an opening for the baby over in the Physician's Assistant program. Baby Boss.

He hasn't won a MAC title yet before accolades come from me.

About a month too soon to say for sure but this could be the year for a football championship.....knock on wood. Of course in recent years the bar has been lower for our coaches as Beckman and Candle both moved on to the P5 without even getting to the Championship Game, much less winning one.

Speaking of quarterbacks and coaches, did anyone else happen to catch on the radio broadcast a couple weeks ago that Bruce verbalized his interest in coaching at Toledo? I doubt that he would be named Head Coach, but if the current staff stampedes through the door to financial freedom I would think Bruce would have a pretty good chance of getting hired as an assistant.

Actually we are pretty young on both sides of the ball. We will have to replace our QB, but the OL returns, all of our WR's are young. We will be 4 deep at RB next year. DL and DE's and corners return. We need linebackers.
I could coach us to 7 wins, a seasoned coach could have a nice little run. I agree Candle is gone after this season. I would like him to stay, but the $ just isn't there.

I guess you guys, must have talked to Candle's wife and she gave you that information? You people have no clue on what the hell is going on at UT. Why don't you stop with the B.S. and let him and the team win more games for UT.

My guess is that NIU007 ISN’T a Rocket fan and emanoh certainly didn’t do “the sky is falling” routine.

It does suck that every team in the league has to worry about their coach getting poched after one decent season or a big victory or three. Kent State built themselves into a relevant team a few years ago and poof. Turner Gill left Buffalo in the dust after getting them a winning record. Heck, we had two coaches get pilfered without ever making it to the championship game. If EMU's coach could have figured out how to turn a few of those close loses into W's, you bet he'd be gone. It's sad the alumni and university communities have to watch our best and brightest leave becsuse we can't compete salary or exposure wise.
I guess we should enjoy the ride while it lasts. It's rare schools get someone like Pinkle who wanted to out down roots and see his kids all graduate from the same HS. No the sky isn't falling, but if MAC athletic directors aren't thinking a few steps ahead, they aren't doing their jobs. We as fans can just speculate, but it's not a matter of if Candle leaves, it's a matter of when. Hopefully after a championship or five.

RE: Jason Candle
It wasn't that long ago when we wanted Candle's head on a platter when he was the OC.
One solution we could consider is to fire him before he gets hired away. That would make it a lot harder for him to find another job if he was fired by Toledo. Then we could hire him back at a lower wage and start the countdown on when he might leave for another 2 years. I know it may not get a lot of traction, but I think it is an ingenious approach. Bet no one else thought of this...
