I finally figured out what the P on your P6 stickers stand for, PRETENDERS.
Hey Jethro...did you stay in a hotel with a cement pond while you were in town?

It is shocking. I expected UC to be a 'flagship' football program as well, one that was always at least pretty good year in and year out, always a contender.

It's like the Marshall fans forgot the Bob Snyder era, or the fact that they've won the dumpster fire CUSA just once even with Doc Holliday being a top notch recruiter.

It was Mark Snyder and, like UC's current coach, he was the DC at Ohio State when we hired him. Hope there OSU DC works out better than ours did.

RE: Fortress Cincinnati (Marshall game)
Hmm message board fans making both respective teams look bad. I'm shocked.
Once again, fun times with UC and in the city. Sorry about some of our fans thumping their chests.
My personal experience, thought it was odd we didn't really have any Bearcat fan interaction with our group, I don't think Cincy fans were very high on their team. Campus area is nice but gets seedy quickly. Saw a LOT of green, was very proud of our fans, we ran out of beer 3 times at the Big Green tailgate. The stadium is NICE and the scoreboard is massive. Concessions are way overpriced, 9 dollars for a Blue Moon? Whhhaaa.... Good student turnout for Cincy though.
On to conference play!

RE: Fortress Cincinnati (Marshall game)
My wife and I sit in the cheap seats and had several Marshall fans around us. We had some good pregame conversation.
One Marshall fan had obviously been enjoying his pregame tailgate party and attempted to start something but I ignored him and he gave up quickly.
The Marshall band was adjacent to us. They sounded good but I have to ask - do they play that often at home games? And do they play the same 2 or 3 things over and over like they did in between plays? It got really annoying quickly. Even if I were a Marshall fan I think I would get tired of it. And to be fair I wasn't enjoying the game at all so that did not help my attitude a whole lot.
We stayed there the entire first half and took our lumps. We moved to the opposite side of the field (mostly to get away from the band) but left shortly after the third quarter started.

Well most bands have certain songs they play often, depending on the down and situation.
We have a first down song we play every time we move the sticks, and as often as we did that, you probably heard it more than you cared to.

How did it feel to move the P6 sticks? Maybe one day you'll get some of your own.

1. What I said wasn't a slight to Cincy.
2. I really don't feel Uconn is qualified to join this conversation right now, basketball season is a month away.
Anyway I won't bump this thread anymore than it needs to. What needs to be said has been! Have a good one!
