You guys have a great D, but you can't leave them on the field for 3/4 of the game and not score. I'm really surprised.
Applewhite happened...
Ah yes, you were the one unhappy with his hiring, right? But that's likely not a direct reason Allen is ineffective so far. Postma already looks better than Allen. That's not on Applewhite.
It's on Applewhite that he chose to start Allen over Postma.
Why wouldn't he? You can criticize him for not switching to Postma sooner, that's about it. At least he saw what could be done with Postma in. Put him in five minutes earlier and maybe they win.

Season still just starting and will play each other (in front of 27 people in Tampa)

I wouldn't get too excited about Postma yet. Easy to put up stats during garbage time.

Easy to stumble your way through hot garbage of a schedule, and then criticize those of us that actually play real teams. The preseason ranking is still the most (only) noteworthy thing S. Florida has accomplished this season.

Levine never had a signature win. He never beat a team with much of a pulse except when Ward was QB. And he had humiliating loss after humiliating loss. This is bad but not humiliating.
that said, his teams did go 16-10 his final 2 years...after a couple seasons learning Brohm's offense he may finally be ready to be a HC somewhere (just not UH, lol)
He was bailed out by the scrambling of a raw Greg Ward. Otherwise, they probably go 2-10 in 2014. Defenses figured out John O'Korn after a great start, so neither he nor Levine were any good after that. After a 7-1 start, they went 3-6 after that with O'Korn, including a humiliating loss to UTSA in the stadium opener and wins over SMU, Grambling and UNLV. All in all, sandlot football bailed him out and not completely, not with that clunker to Tulane.

Postma has proven he can carry the offense... But I also understand why he was not brought in much sooner... I think the coaching staff is trying to avoid a QB controversy.
Allen will be given all opportunities to remain Houston's QB
Like contracts, promises are also broken... We'll see what happens next couple games.

I just came back .. and I'm surprisingly happy
My biggest worry about UH was the pass defense that held its own today
The offense was trash under allen but postma scored on every drive he was in.. and he can run which seems to be a requirement for this offense to work
Outside of final rankings i doubt this games makes a difference in our realistic goals with usf and memphis still on schedule and already having a P5 win.. I doubt sdsu goes undefeated

Postma it's not even a debate...
Arizona and tech the offense was bad.. it's only so far you can get with dinking and dinking..
And something I noticed a while back, postma plays identical to missippi states qb...our OC is from ms state..
I actually feel like we can win the rest of the games with postma

Last year, it took a while for our transfer QB to learn a new system and we lost to a mediocre P6 school as well.

If postma is able to pull a ward and make us look decent then awesome. But i have no faith in applewhite.
