If they keep playing songs like "running with the devil" and "highway to hell" with full lyrics, instead of just the music, then it will be hard to convince me that cost of attendance is why families choose not to attend. That turns me off way more than charging for my toddler does. However, when you couple that with charging for children, it does make it seem like a concentrated effort even though it obviously isn't.

Those songs are pretty tame compared to more contemporary choices. If you are offended by the music played at a football game, then football games or other public outings may not be best suited for you.

imjustafatkid is the guy who thinks UAB and Liberty University are essentially the same, so, not surprising

I don't remember hearing either of those, and even if I had, I've heard worse at high school games.

They were played. Also Welcome to the Jungle and Enter Sandman. Fumbles is going to get full value out of that Stadium Rock 1985 CD he won on eBay for $1.98.

You're worried about the music being played when, if your forum name is correct, you're a kid and you have a toddler.... Just sayin

Note to UAB DC == Do not use the same defensive scheme in the last minute of the Florida game as we used against SMU. (LOL) Florida's QB Franks can legitimately claim that his winning pass against UTK was thrown all the way to Cleveland.

You guys are making it obvious you don't really care about if families show up or not, and just wanted to find ways to complain about the AD when talking about kid tickets.

It's just a handle I've had since the early days of the internet. I wish it was still correct.

I thought that was one of the better playlists that's been played at the game. Somebody should change their profile name to imjustababy. if they were playing the hip hop and gangsta rap that I and the ball team is into, folks would be going insane. My mom said "really?" when Van Halen came on. I was like if you'd pay attention to the game, you realize they're playing a song that relates to what's going on in the game half of the time. Running with the devil was played right after the blocked PAT return.

It doesn't take much to put together a playlist that isn't laced with profanity. This is an easy thing to grasp: You either want the majority of families to attend, or you don't. It's really that simple. If you think my opinion is in the minority of parents with small children, then I don't know what to tell you. This would be an even bigger issue for families already pissed about paying for a ticket for their child.

EDIT: I don't even care about them using the songs, and this won't stop me from coming, but acting like this won't turn people away is disengenuous. Simply using the beat or track serves the purpose they're going for, and offends no one. It's easy.

The majority of families who attended are not complaining about the music played.

I swear to god man...people like you are what makes me say that our fan base has a higher ratio of bitchers, moaners and gripers than any in all of football.

I just pulled the lyrics from the two songs you originally complained about. Highway to Hell- the only "profanity" in that song is the word "hell." And I'm sure your preacher says that from the pulpit every week. And "Runnin' with the Devil"- it has not one single curse word in it. NOT...A...ONE. Answer a question for me- are you the dad from Dirty Dancing, or are you the dad from Footloose?

Knowing the time frame when the song came out also leads you to a certain conclusion.

What's offensive about that song? They don't make it to the second verse.
