I'll be there. Sitting on the visitor side but not in the ODU tickets.

Flying up Friday and meeting two fraternity brothers. We'll be on the visitor 50, section 6 row U. We'll be tailgating in Lot 22 across from the stadium.

We're in lot 22 also. I'm on the 50 but ODU side.

Yep, that's where we are (Section 6 on Visitor side is ODU side).

I would be surprised if we see significant time from Hoy, if any at all. As I posted before, BL's stats were better than TH's from a game in 2014 (EMU) in very similar circumstances; weather and competition.

BL looks nothing like SB. He looked fine Saturday.
It was our vaunted running game that looked bad, not Blake.

To be fair to the backs, the oline didn't do a good job in the run game. BW will have them ready to go this weekend and hopefully Lawry is good to go for the full 60.

We disagree a little here. I believe we will see Hoy in this game. He needs game reps in case Blake goes down with an injury at some point. These are the perfect games to get Hoy some game experience. When UNC, Tech, and conference games come around...it will be time to go with the best guy.

AND NO.....I am not saying that Blake is going to get hurt because of his size. It's a just in case. Brutal having to add that in there at the end, but if I don't, someone will start another conversation about that subject. 03-yawn

If you want to compare/contrast Blake LaRussa with previous ODU quarterbacks, he looked a whole lot more like Taylor Heinicke than he did Shuler Bentley -- four drives for a TD, and one for a FG; two long bombs on the money (one for a TD and the other dropped); a really nice 14 yard scramble, diving for the first down; a 70% completion percentage. Oh, with much of this in the rain and with an O-line that struggled with the running game. He still has a lot of games in front of him, but I am confident that the vast majority of informed fans would agree that it was a pretty damn good opening effort.

Right. When I responded I was thinking visitor=UMASS. That was dumb. We're in Row G.

I would expect Hoy to play, but with a shorter leash this week. If he plays well, he may earn more time. But, if we don't move the ball with him at QB again, I expect only a couple series. This is a game we need to win and is on the road. No need to dick around.

I would expect us to go full throttle and be sure we corrected the problems from last week (OL, WR drops) and then start mixing in lots of bodies like last week. The end game is win this, even by a narrow margin and keep everyone healthy for the next two brutal weeks.

This is a trap game for BL. Anything BL does wrong in the game will be magnified while any success Hoy has will be praised in the eyes of some on here.

I would be stunned, and very disappointed, to think that any of the players or coaching staff are paying any attention whatsoever to what is being posted on this forum -- positive or negative.

Definitely hope and believe our players and coaches have no time for our remarks on here. Which some are good but probably 50% comedy.

How many of you guys played sports? I know as a teenager I couldn't wait to get the newspaper to see if my name was mentioned in the game recap or not. I would then cut out the newspaper clipping and save it. If there were message boards (or internet..yikes), I'm sure I would have logged on to read what people say about me. I would be shocked if players don't read the board (if they know it exists). At the very least, you know they are checking out to see what the Pilot says.

And there's the rub. I'm sure they're reading the facebook, Twitter and pilot comments but I doubt many have found their way here.

Did you also read the graffiti on the bathroom walls?

I don't mean to be insulting -- and this certainly applies to me -- but my presumption is that 99% of the posters are either has-beens or never-beens. If any student athletes is looking to this forum for personal affirmation, then he or she will get some important life lessons that probably should have been learned in middle school.

Regardless of if they know it exists or not, I think everyone should operate as though they are reading your posts. Sometimes the vitrol could be toned down a bit. I hate when we don't play up to our potential just as much as the next guy, but hating on a RS Sophomore QB in his first start seems a bit over the top to me.

I must have a different objective for visiting a message board. Mine isnt to play internet tough guy and call players, coaches, staff names behind a keyboard. I dont view it as a means to vent frustration. I view it to gain information on the team and debate varying opinions. I dont see what calling school officials childish nars adds.
