Same for Clemson.

agree with all your points, but lets not get carried away. We sucked at Clemson, and maybe the outcome is slightly better but not a W for sure.

We were hurt by Cacock on the bench and we could never get pace. When Bryan came in we got killed in the paint. Chuck would have helped tremendously as a rim protector. Cacock had 14 points and 6 rebounds in only 22 minutes of play and Richmond was only 1-8 from the field and shot way too much. A bigger dose of Talley and Chuck would have made a difference. Maybe not a win, but at least a chance.

We shot the ball like crap, that's why we got blown out. Your point is taken, it wouldn't have hurt for sure. But i don't see it making THAT big of a difference, in that game at least.

He has been linked to the openings at Illinois and Missouri as well as NC State. After you guys beat UVA and Florida to get to the Sweet 16, his stock will rise even more! 01-ncaabbs

If he takes us to the Sweet 16 and leaves, I'll tip my hat and wish him the best at his next stop. Going from 1 NCAA Tournament win in our history to 3 and having a full week to celebrate it would take away much of the sting of losing him as our coach, IF it were to happen.

Heard from a CofC booster that he is being talked about for possible Clemson job as well.

Clemson is a worse job than state. Second fiddle to football, and always will be

And Brownell probably won't even get let go this year. So it's a weird idea on multiple fronts.

Guy on NBC Sports radio today says N.C. State should offer the job to NCCU's coach Levelle Moton.

Doubt he's high on their list, but he should be. Moton was high on my list after we let go of Buzz.

I'm not sure you're allowed to have a list. Sounds like a breach of contract.

Is it a conflict of interest to have a list?

That is the real question04-cheers

Moten would be a good candidate if Keatts should leave, I understand Bass has Caputo at the top of his " list" in his desk drawer

One of his candidates, but he has moved towards a coach with a Louisville press style for the sake of continuity. If Keatts leaves, THIS will be his biggest hire to date. It's one thing to strike lightning with one hire, but building a program with multiple right hires is another story. Caputo isn't the right guy, and we'd have a slew of transfers and decommits if he were hired.

Dash, any other names you know of on the list? I tend to agree with with 82 in that maintaining our style of play is essential. I'm not sure there would be a lot of transfers, but our recruiting class could fall apart if we hire a defensive coordinator as Caputo is described.

I liked Moton a lot three years ago as well. It's a little tougher to pull someone away from their alma mater though. I don't know what it would take to get Moton. Similar to Keatts connection to Hargrave, Moton has a lot of NBA connections. He's friends with Stackhouse and a connection to Stackhouse Elite wouldn't be a bad thing.

Moton would be a solid hire. It's too bad NCCU can't get more than a 16 seed, as they might could do some damage with the right matchup.
