FIVE THREE POINTERS! Maybe a long ball threat besides Sarah R.

Reported on twitter that Quienesha Lockett scored 23 points, and was team MVP in a post-season all-start game. Haven't been able to figure out if this was a state-wide game, or a city/district one.

The new assistant is getting to work, as UT has offered 2020 5'9 PG Capria Brown from Danville, IL. She had been a Xavier verbal, recruited by Stephens there. He also coached her AAU team. First team all-state as a JR, 2nd team as a SO. Team has won back-to-back 1A state championships.

Some highlights:

Nice player. I'd like to see her and Wiard in the same backcourt.

Another offer from twitter, UT offers 2020 6' wing Taziah Jenks wing from Louisville, KY. Some sites list her as up to 6'2. Already has a ton of other offers (including, you guessed it, Xavier).

Some highlights.

Are they paying for a new coach or a new team. Had the reservations, perhaps paranoias when I saw the resume, saw nothing but trouble with those AAU connections. Not a fan of this "snatching" and mercenary approach regardless "it's the modern game." Prefer the HEAD Coach to say we'll be hands off his previous commits. NEXT year's uncommitted contacts fair game though.

I think this is a totally different situation. The entire coaching staff was fired. A recruit almost always commits to a coach, not a school. What are they suppose to do when the coach is fired?

Technically the Xavier head coach resigned ... may have been forced too, but wasn't fired. Of course, the new coach usually cleans out the assistants, so.

Interestingly the new head coach there is Melanie Moore who is originally from Glandorf.

Rockets have offered 2021 G Kailee Davis from Detroit Renaissance (listed from 5'2 to 5'6). 1st team all-Detroit by the Free Press & Honorable Mention all-state as a SO. Looks to have offers from Detroit and Delaware that I can find.

Wired for success: Family drives Oakridge senior to ‘make others better’

Really rooting that she lives up to the hype at UT.

Looking forward to seeing her play. BTW, not to be too picky, she can't study biomedical engineering as an undergrad. That would be bioengineering. Biomedical engineering is a PhD program only.

Certainly could take all the PreMed, Math, Engineering, Business Courses, etc. that would be required in an Undergraduate Program.

And she didn’t say “as an undergrad” so we get to keep her for grad school!

RE: WBB Recruiting
A couple '21 offers reported on twitter recently - both guards - as it looks like UT has been recruiting in Indiana.

PG Hanna Knoll from Angola, IN. Seen her listed as 5'6 or 5'8
https://www.hudl.com/profile/10333736/Hanna-Knoll
from twitter, has a lot of offers (NKU, Fort Wayne, IUPUI, Indiana St, etc.) but don't even seen any other MAC offers.

SG Jayla Smith from Lawrence North HS in Indianapolis. See either 5'9 or 5'10
http://www.hudl.com/profile/10192958/Jayla-Smith
can't find a twitter, so don't know about other offers.
