I can't wait to run up the score on Tech again in football.

Berry, once again, got too clever trying to play matchups. If you have a pitcher who you can have complete faith in to get that out, it is a good move. Lowery is not that guy, though.

When they pulled him I told my wife that was a mistake. We hadn't touched him hardly at all. He had three pitches, and we couldn't really hit any of them.

And yes, the umps in the USM-LT game are part of a conspiracy to give Rice the conference title!! Makes a lot of sense when LA Tech plays Rice next weekend. Maybe they're trying to give it to LA Tech?

Huge inning for McCarty to only throw 9 pitches. He was at 60 through three. He's sat down 8 of the last 9.

At least the USM fans will stop crying now. Geez

Did not watch the game but if the first time the batter stepped out and it would have been ball four would you still be upset with the ump for granting the timeout?

...and how do you know the batter would have taken that pitch for a called Strike 3? He could have just as easily drilled a single or extrabase hit, no?

Kind of hard to hit a pitch when you're not in the batter's box, no?

Don't know how many times USM has had a batter called back because they didn't attempt to get out of the way of the pitch. Happened to La Tech last night.
