It will probably be terrific, the best but we'll deal with it when we get there. Right now, let's worry about more important things like what are we doing for Memorial day weekend and when is the next Beyonce album coming out?

I'm just curious as to the impact on the financial markets of electing a man that wants to go around starting trade wars. Any predictions?

I think Trump gets close but no 1st ballot. Then the vultures come out and install a poorer performing Cruz.

There will be a bunch of very angry Republican voters.

Bernie and Trump are two sides of the same coin, and I'd be willing to bet that both sets of supporters would cheer on a crash. Bernie's people have no money and Trump people's money is probably all tied up into gold, ammunition, survival food kits, etc.

The insiders don't wanna. But Cruz and Trump both insist it be one of them. It may be the only thing they can agree on in the Rules Committee and I think together they have the power to enforce it.

Uh, I'm not talking about the banks share prices. What do you think GE, Cat, Coca Cola, Boeing's share prices will do?

Bernie isn't going anywhere but back into his seat in the Senate. Breaking up the banks would be fine for our economy. Common sense Wall Street reforms (including removing the carried interest loophole) won't do much to share prices either.

RE: Trump wins yuuuuge in NY!
Here are the scenarios

1) Trump wins the nomination either before Cleveland or at the convention. Either is possible. The Country Club/business GOP wing will sit on their hands (a third defect to HRC, a third don't vote, a third vote Trump), Cruz's folks will largely vote for Trump. Trump loses the election to Hillary.

2) Cruz wins the nomination on the Second to Fifth Ballot in Cleveland. Cruz cannot win the nomination before the convention. The Country Club Wing will largely play ball (10 percent defect, 20 percent don't vote, 70 percent vote for Trump). Trump's voters will go ballistic. They'll largely sit the election out. Cruz would get crushed by HRC in this scenario

3) Someone else wins the nomination on a later ballot in Cleveland. The problem is that the new nominee must be acceptable to Trump and Cruz's supporters. Trump's voters aren't going to accept anyone other than Trump. Cruz's voters will demand a belligerent religious right type candidate. Only possible way to win, but the most likely result of such a manoever is another HRC easy win. The Kasich solution is very dangerous to the GOP. Some Trumpers/Cruzers will sit on their hands. And Kasich will have to move to the right, exposing himself to flip flop charges. Kasich is the only one I see that could actually pull it off. But its going to be a lot more difficult than his supporters think it would be.

There isn't a Republican Party, but rather THREE of them. And the weakest leg of the stool (country club/business) is the one that holds all the organizational power. But the other two legs (religious right, tea party) loathe the organizational wing and the they're increasingly angry with each other.

If Trump gets over 1050 delegates (and he likely will), I don't see how the GOP can get out of this mess. They'll have to nominate him.

Do you even math, bro? Fox News did a segment tonight where they played out the current projections, and he gets to about 1,080. Not even close.

Here's your Math bro

Trump 845-

Upcoming Primaries-
Conn. - 22 out of 28
Delaware- 16 out of 16 WTA
Maryland- 28 out of 38
Penn- 40 out 71
RI- 14 out 19
Indiana- 28 out 57
NE - 0 out 36 Cruz WTA
WV- 18 out 34
Oregon- 15 out of 28
WA- 22 out 44
CA- 95 out 172
Montana- 0 out 27 Cruz WTA
NJ- 45 out 51
NM- 14 out 24
SD- 0 out 29 Cruz WTA

Trump 845+357=1,202

It is more realistic that Trump will get to 1,200 than 1,080. Don't know how Fox came up with that 1,080, CNN has him projected around 1,200 delegates after last night

So Trump has to get 37 out of 200 unbound delegates to win on the first ballot. Like I said I don't know how Trump will be stopped.... bro

Possibly but Cruz would do worse against Hillary, and the other viable candidate that could beat Hillary- Rubio dropped out.

Cruz has no appeal outside majority White evangelical states, Trump has won everywhere and in the states that matter

If Hilary could guarantee a repeat of Bill's 8 years in office - economically - then I would be open to her being president. It wouldn't be an alien concept to her because I don't believe for a second that she believes half of the stuff coming out of her mouth. She's in the pocket of Wall Street, and from an economics standpoint that might be a good thing over all.

That said, I think the irony in all this is that Trump should appeal the most to what used to be the traditional base of the democratic party - private unions that predominantly tilt towards manufacturing.

I think in the end we'd be better off with Gary Johnson. Believe it or not, if Jim Webb could have gained traction in the democratic primaries, I would have voted for him in the general. Out of all the candidates from the duopoly, Webb was the 2nd most libertarian behind Rand Paul IMHO - plus I think Webb would have been a better leader than Rand Paul. Jim Webb is a throwback to the days when the democrats were truly the party of the working classes. That democratic party is dead, and that's a disaster for us today. Today's democratic party is a surreal version of I don't know what in truth. It has the richest members (Buffet and Gates), the majority of the Wall Streeters (Goldman Sachs & friends) and also the biggest proponents of liberation theology advocates to boot (#BLM, the poverty pimps, illegal immigrants from leftist nations, etc). WTF ARE these people????
