UC should try scheduling more MAC teams instead of some of their preseason patsies.
Last year, Toledo was clearly better and you could have made an argument for BGSU.
OU was decent. BGSU and UC would've been an epic shoot out.
OSU historically has done a better job scheduling MAC teams than UC.
The MAC, on many levels, might be a good fall back league for UC instead of prostituting ourselves to the dying B12.
I think I'd rather have Miami FL and BYU than Kent State and Western Michigan. You can keep your cupcakes.

RE: College fan bases
Suggesting UC would EVER want to be a part of the MAC is about as insulting as it gets. Sure, any MAC school with their meager athletic budget will sign on for a big payday and a ritualistic beating at the Horseshoe.
The MAC produces some competitive football teams from time to time. But paying head coaches $500K a year (or less) is a solid assurance that you won't have continuity when one great season is the head coach's golden ticket to a seven figure P5 or upper echelon G5 job.

Go play in the MAC boards where they stand in awe of you. You and your crap school are just turds around these here parts.
I dont watch ohio st/michigan because I dont care...but I do root for Michigan to win.

Actually you are wrong about OSU doing a better job at scheduling MAC schools. oSU went about seventy years without scheduling a MAC school. Meanwhile UC has played a MAC school every year for the past 126 years. In over 120 years of existence OSU had only played a MAC school 33 times, most of which were scheduled prior to the 1930s. By comparison UC has played Mismi 126 times and Ohio 50 times.
OSU did play a lot of MAC schools in the 2000s but that was due to Jim Tressel. urban has been on record to say they will not schedule any more MAC games during his tenure.

You all are over sensitive here. Kent State and WMU would have been equal to either one of those teams. Miami was terrible and BYU stunk after their QB was injured.
I did like Tressell's insistence on playing MAC schools. However, UC has no legitimate basis for being able to demand an annual matchup with OSU. Certainly no more than Toledo or others of the same ilk.
As I have noted in several other posts, OSU should play more Ohio schools in hoops just to generate a lot more interest. If they were smart they would sponsor an Ohio Classic in VC arena to try and sell the place out.

You are ******* delusional if you think that other Ohio teams would agree to that sort of tournament on Ohio State's home floor. And we are not of the same ilk as Toledo and the other MAC schools. Your time on this board is almost over.

Maybe the reason that UC plays MAC schools is because they're not afraid to play other schools in-state and actually acknowledge that such universities actually exist. Miami-OH and Ohio University are nearby universities.

They should definitely rotate the sites maybe even have two sites if you have 6 teams. It would be a good thing for all schools.

I meant other MAC schools when I mentioned Toledo by the way. No disrespect for any Ohio school intended.

An Ohio Univ was forced by the state legis to play in state schools in their out of conf sched. State Legis wanted to keep the money in state as opposed to some out of state patsy. Miami was not great, however a huge step above the worst G5 conf out there. BYU was a step above the lowly MAC as well. I am starting to think you are a BGSU grad from Sandusky.
