and you know this how? (I cant wait to hear this)
BTW He has passed up many opportunities that were indeed solid for more money that he signed a contract for. Some never made press.
And I will wait for you to name the opportunities. Not his name was mentioned but a solid job offer.
Bill will get a solid offer just a matter of when. He is too good of a coach to stay stagnant
You will keep waiting because I was told in confidence. Again either how do you know it or STFU and get lost. Heck I'll answer for you. Fact is you don't now jack ****
Someone caught you saying something you couldnt back up so I will STFU now. As Im sure you will do the same since your quote was unanswerable.

So is John Grass.
Maybe he'll like Birmingham, too.
If you offer a salary in the same range he too will be moving on up. But the UAB job isnt as attractive as when Bill accepted the job. The process will take a few years to get the feet back on the ground. John isnt far from retirement in the Alabama system either.

RE: Clark on memphis' radar..
We don't need to take their coach. We already have one who wants to be here.
As to the job not being as attractive, Clark's about to get a bunch of brand new facilities to recruit with, including one of the nicest stadiums in the conference.
Your ignorance and prejudice is showing.
As to whether Attalla can back up what he says, I know for a fact that he talks to Bill Clark fairly often. He's consulting on the facilities to be built here. I'm thinking maybe he knows more about what's happening at UAB than some message board yammerhead from another school who wants to talk some smack.
Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

RE: Clark on memphis' radar..
Clark is here today because he cares about uab. The usc(w) job could be offered to him tomorrow and my money is on him not taking it. I know nothing more about the man but what I have seen from the outside, but He is a man on a mission I my opinion. He literally took the time to sign and reply(handwritten) to emails that were sent to him by nobodies(me) in our fan base. I would be shocked if he even considered another job before uab plays another down of football. Some people realize life isn't all about money. My gut feel is Clark is one of them.

You're right. The UAB job isn't as attractive as it was. It's MORE attractive! 247sports.com has our recruiting class ranked 48th in the country right now! Really good players are coming. Facilities are coming. After all these years, we FINALLY have the Birmingham business community behind us.
When we come back, we're going to be stronger than ever before. Before December 2nd, we always had a dark cloud hovering over us over whether or not the program would shut down. Now, we can say that they tried to shut us down, but we wouldn't let them. I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but if we get a new city-owned stadium, to go with our new facilities...UAB could potentially become the next Boise.

The reason he's renting in Birmingham? It's a little far to commute from Piedmont every day.

There is another family living in his old Piedmont home.

You must be real nervous, you must feel Bill is close to being offered the Memphis job.

Your looking through long term glasses about UABs attractiveness. Facilities arent built overnight even with approved funding in place.
If you have the right coach someone will hire them within 5 years unless your UAT, Ohio St or one of the few destination jobs.

Article from 3 months ago:
"Sacrifices are performed on both sides of football marriages. When Bill became head coach at UAB, he moved into an apartment in the area, while his family lived about 90 minutes away. Jennifer traveled to Birmingham during the week, and of course on gamedays. "
