Just a few:

It is about over.

Yep, I will be so excited to see who Watts hires.

I won't be excited for our program when we make a loser hire.
Just another nail in our coffin.

That looks like a good pool of finalists to me. I hope it turns out well.
If Watts pushes for anyone else at this point it will be very obvious that he's making a power play. That is not to say that he could not do so, but if he did all hell would break loose.

And Watts would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those meddling freeuab kids.

I doubt any of them are crossing their fingers in hopes of getting this job. There has to be talk of Watts not being here very long if they are truly interested.

I think Mackin looks very foolish for stepping down and signing the NDS. He took the money and ran. If you are being threatened come forward. Otherwise you are simply a coward.
When he was offered money to speak, right? Was it 3 years pay?

Who's to say the penalty for breaking the non-disclosure isn't more than three years pay though?

Mackin informed Coach Clark about the closure of UAB football after the Southern Miss game. That's when the news broke all over ESPN Sunday. Mackin was subsequently let go that day and later brought back on to help transition the players and silenced with a Non Diclosure Agreement after his role ended back in February this year.

Looks like a good group of candidates.
I'd save the 'I told you so's' until the announcement is made and the press conference is held. Lord only knows what can happen next.

This is one conference I plan on attending. I was there for Callaway and it was less than luke warm.
Clarks was packed and people were generally optimistic and the players were excited.
If this one is open to general public I want to be there again.

Mackin knew since AT LEAST August that football was done.

RE: Scarbinsky: UAB AD Search Down to 3 Finalists
I have to admit that on paper at least it looks like a good list; of course I'm not sure many of of us were aware of any of them before now and we still don't know much more now. Let's see if Watts will hire any of them. I'll still bet that after interviewing them, if Watts hires any of them it will be the one he believes will be one most likely to support a UAB athletic program without football. That agenda always comes first. For their sake, I hope the heck they know what they are getting into.
Just to be clear, as I have posted before, I'm sure that the search committee had many fine people on it and I am sure they did their best to identify the best candidates available, though I am still reasonably sure even better candidates would have been available if not for our current situation. My problem was always has always been with Watts and the timing of this hire. I have absolutely no trust for the man and he has proven time and time again the when he make a move, any move, he almost always has ulterior motives, usually to solidify his decision on football. I don't think that anyone can reasonably argue with that.
If Watts does hire one of them, maybe a year or two from now we will be able to judge whether the committee and Watts did a good job. Let's hope that Watts isn't here to judge for himself.

I like the three finalist selected for UaB's next AD. I'm done.

I'd have to go with Ingram, simply because he's worked at Temple... he's been exposed to the side of "have-nots".

I lean that way as well, but I'm not doing the interviews. As long as the committee gets to make the pick, and as long as that pick goes forward without being compromised, I'm good with it.
