The flecked epoxy will hide the dirt and mold better, but it will eventually need cleaning, and a full-on pressure washing will likely find some flaw in the application and blast it loose from the concrete.
Also, the epoxy is slippery when wet (or slipperier than non-polished concrete).
We'll get a test of the durability when they clean the west men's room floors of construction residue.
They were epoxied last year, and they were still very dirty as of yesterday.
I'm surprised that they aren't working around-the-clock on the restrooms at this point, but they can't do anything about cure times for the adhesive holding on the tiles.
There was a pressure washing crew just starting when I left last night at 9:45 (Wednesday).
Makes sense to work when it's cooler.
There are acres to go.
Melissa Kean showed up just as I was helping Neal Farmer take his buckets to his car (Houston Touchdown Club's Bayou Bucket Luncheon).
Got to take her on a tour of the R-Room (she is impressed), and then a tour of the press box (not impressed).
She'd been in the press box before, but likely not on a non-game day.
