I assume they've blocked it because they are practicing on the grass field, of which quite a bit is normally visible.

Thank you. That makes more sense than the balls blowing in the air theory.

Any way to know if this will that continue throughout the season or just for the pre-season practices?

Speaking of half: camera is back on again but the screen is more than half-blocked out with gray right now. Maybe this is part of the subterfuge of not letting anyone see the team practice before the season starts. The only field area things that could be seen previously were a few footballs floating in the air and the top of the goal posts--no players. Maybe our kicking game will be a key part of the first few games and our coaches don't want anyone to see which way their balls blow in the air. I guess that information would help an opponent decide how to best try to stack their lines to block kicks? It's a stretch but might that explain this?

I don't know, but last week I did get to see one of the construction workers fall down. It sort of reminded me of myself during my short stint in excavation.

Here's a link to the video walk-through of the construction site. It was recorded on a phone, so the production values aren't great, but it's probably the closest any of us will ever get to walking around the site.

I'm excited for the season to start!

Watching the Periscope video, a longstanding question of mine was answered (I think). It sounded like the green textured area in the renderings below the complex and surrounding the ramp is going to be ivy.

Good gracious! Clicked on the cam link on page 1 and there is a ton of activity. Looks like someone in the AD office decided to not block the cam when the FB team is not practicing behind the EZF construction.

Perhaps they could block out just the top of the cam/over the practice field and leave the middle/construction portion open. Either way a ton of activity and machines moving this morning.

Funny to see they now have the Allstate "Good Hands" banner hanging up. It looks like it's between the goalposts--if so, how would that work during games? Like Arenaball where if the ball bounces back it is still live?

It's actually on two posts behind the wall. I checked it out at fan fest tonight.

RE: EZF Construction Thread
On the Austin sports radio today Bailiff said that there were 2 large gifts for the EZF. One from Brian Patterson and a 12 million dollar gift from someone who wished to remain anonymous. I had never heard that before. It was nice to get the facility improvent message out to the Austin area. Hopefully we send them another big message on September 12th.

I bet the university paid for the final $12million. If so, what an amazing gesture of commitment.

If correct, not the first time this has happened.

Wow, the cement trucks are queued up. I wonder if they are going to have to send them home due to the weather?

I guess not. They are pushing the cement trucks through the mud with bull dozers.

Cam is back up. Looks like they're up to ground level on the building, and have completed a lot of the front wall. Nice day in Houston.
