Bennett Koch is the third Koch son to play for Jacobson at UNI. Papa Koch and I struck up a friendship at the Bracketbuster UNI game and still keep in touch. When UNI made the return game to Norfolk, the team ate at Fellini's and we ate with the Koch and Sonnen parents. Good folks. I respect that program for remaining relevent more often than not - hard for a mid-major.

With that being said, I hope the Panthers curbstomp the Rams in that human petri-dish known as the Seigel Center. I just warned Papa Koch to ensure his son was up to date on his vaccinations. UNI by 8.

Sonnen was a pain in the neck as well. Who was the 6'6 260 pound screen setting, three point shooting power forward from hell that buried us at Northern Iowa. I remember some dude just canning threes to bust the game open.

I have been to a lot of basketball games in my time, but that arena on that night was the loudest that I can ever recall. Great atmosphere for a meaningful college basketball game.

Scored free roundies from the airline for delaying our flight home by 90 minutes. Overall, a fun trip!

This was my oldest son on ESPN just behind the ODU bench. Thank goodness to MikeGVA for driving from the hotel to the game on a very cold and snowy night!

very generous...GA st a 13 seed...VCU also a 7 seed...Gardner webb a 14 seed...UNCW a 14 seed...Mt. St. Marys a 16 seed...Ill St and UTEP first four out in this predicted bracket.

Most likely it was the double overtime effort it took to pull off the win, struggling at home.

Agreed. Nice find. Of course, we folks in Roanoke are very smart people when it comes to ODU Basketball. LOL.

Wednesday's game is HUGE. We have to take them one at a time and just keep winning! I think we are finally starting to gain some momentum in the national media.
