Game's decided, why does Doc still have the starters in. We CANNOT afford to get anyone hurt.

I think he ends up at a camp somewhere and maybe even on a practice squad. But if not I think he would do well in the CFL. Alex Bazzie has been tearing it up at BC. I think he will end up in an NFL camp somewhere next year too.

I get Doc's standard, you can't afford to have guys giving less than 100% in practice. That said, the coaches should invest a little more time with Butler to get him to work harder, and to read blitz packages so he becomes more valuable to the team and lives up to his full potential as a player.

It's my understand that such time investment has been attempted, multiple times, and it just won't stick, so to speak. Butler is a HUGE talent....it's a shame he hasn't been willing or able, to this point, to fix the areas that keep him on the bench.

Pleeeeeease pull the starters out! We need to get playing time for a lot of other players in preparation for next year as well as not taking the risk of getting a starter hurt.

I agree with this but I also think for people who may not be Marshall fans they should know Watson is a pretty good player in his own right.. I mean the dude is having one of his worst games of the year and he's got nearly 50 yards and 3 TDs tonight.

I agree, don't like this at all. Game's decided, hate this part of the BS system where teams run it up. Hope they just run it up the middle 4 times, get on the plane and come home.

What about in the CFL? I've heard people mention Cato being a great CFL type QB with his size, so why not Shuler?

I think Shuler could do very well in the CFL.. And there is nothing wrong with going that route at all

One of the great things Donnan used to do was play 2nd and 3rd teams in the fourth quarter to build for the future.

That last TD by the first team was not necessary.

Looked like his knee was down before he broke the line. This one has to be overturned.

Pull the starters.

It looks like Doc has decided, after getting left out of the top 25 for two weeks, that he needs to score style points. I hate that as a fan, hate it for USM, and hate it for college football.

I hope USM doesn't think we are scoring just to be classless. As I've mentioned in other game threads, Doc is the last guy that wants to run up the score. Unfortunately, with the CFP, we have to take our chances that they look at margin of victory no matter the schedule (even though I know they want nothing to do with us regardless).

I agree completely. I love playing USM and them getting better is great for CUSA. Monken is putting together a great team and I wish you guys luck the rest of the season!

Because no matter what the score is I would rather see a game called clean and fair. I would want the same thing if it was the other way around.
