Coming out of the closet is not courageous, it's a choice. In this case if the guy can actually play in the NFL he'll make a BUTTLOAD of money for coming out. If this is courageous, then Tim Tebow is COURAGEOUS X 10 because being openly Christian in America is a dangerous thing for your career and Tebow is proof.

You are a crazy person. In a sport where every team has a team chaplain, you're trying to tell us that being openly Christian is a career risk?

I felt a certain way about Jason Collins' situation. I thought it was a very opportunistic thing to do and couldn't hide my cynicism.

I just don't feel the same towards this.

His father is ashamed and has every right to be. I'm pretty much pro-gay "rights" but I know I'd be more than a bit affected if my child came out. What I wouldn't do is mention it to the press.

Now to his father, he has a lot more to be concerned about than his son being gay. He raised two jailbirds, one child got shot, and another missing. He sat around when Michael and siblings lived in a car with their mother. He should be more disappointed in himself.

I'm sorry, but I am getting kind of tired about everyone coming out and getting 1hr of fame about it instead of just 15m.

I don't really care if you are gay in the grand scheme of things cause I got more important stuff to worry about.
