He'll stay on but the "effective" part left the room a while ago.
I believe the president is a fine man, a decent president and a man that shuns leadership to the extreme that his effectiveness has and will continue to be compromised.
I also believe he would trounce Mitt Romney or any of the 2012 field if the election were held today.
I think he's a decent person, but way in over his head when it comes to being POTUS.

I don't believe he's a decent person, and I really can't understand how anyone else could think that.

I just try to seperate the politics from the person. Yes, it's hard to do sometimes.

He has been a Con man from day one, and has now been promoted to a position of failure where he has been shown to be lacking for the job he holds.

This actually happens alot in big business - except when it happens there, the failing person is removed by firing or to a job with less responsibility as a demotion.

Unfortunately, we are stuck with this inept man that refuses to lead holding a job that is all about leadership. The US is the loser in this.

Continue? Effective? Should either of those two words ever be used in a sentence describing this inept bumbling fool?

He's a sad caricature of every professorial coffee lounge "bull" session ever held. They just finally got their big shot to implement the lunacy that they've been kicking around for 40 years and it's being proven, in real time, to be the complete failure many of us always figured it to be.

The death of big government liberalism is upon us. Someone take a picture.

And worse a guy who showed up at Occidental Radical U as an 18 year old admitted Marxist, whose first job was a community organizer.

To be rational and blunt, first because he's black, second because he's liberal.

He has accomplished a lot.

-He has weakened the dollar
-He has weakened the military
-He has created a social, economic and racial divide.
-He has caused an increase of hatred around the World directed at the United States.
-He has weakened the middle class.
-He has weakened our healthcare system.
-He has eroded the moral fabric of our Country

the list goes on and on - all of which is consciously designed to bring about higher taxes, more goverment and more entitlement. Marxism works by creating chaos in a society. He is extremely smart. We are the dumb ones for allowing it to happen.

Ummm...
when did the war on terror end?
Exactly how is healthcare reformed for the better?
We still have large military presences both in Afghanistan and Iraq and neither are peaceful places.
This economy may not be in full depression but it's hardly recovered. Ask the 11.3 million unemployed.

RE: It's doubtful the Obama admin can survive
Obama is a loser, as Romney openly stated in the first debate last year.

The man is not a leader in any sense of the word. The world recognized this early but America was enthralled with the social win of electing the first black President. I think even the hard core liberals now see him exposed and truly incompetent.

ObamaCare has been proven to be a total disaster, and the Dems OWN it. The mid terms will see more rational people replacing the old guard on both sides of the aisle, but moreso in Democrat strongholds. I believe the Republicans will increase their majority in the House and might take a Senate seat or two, but not the majority.

But I also think a new bill to repeal or drastically revise ObamaCare will be put together. Obama will be forced to sign it. Sure, he could stubbornly refuse but then his Presidency effectively ends.

The House and Senate could try to overturn the veto, but I can't see it happening. THe House would get the 67% of votes but the Senate would require:
- Reid bringing the resolution to the Senate floor for a vote
- Finding 20+ Democrat Senators to side with the Republicans

The overturn effort would fail. ObamaCare being allowed to forge ahead unaltered will destroy healthcare as doctors leave the system. The anticipated 20mm+ citizens getting "low cost" insurance flood the system. The quality of health care plummets. The US economy will nosedive as the American public cut back on other purchases to pay the huge increases in health care while US companies (large, medium, and small) do what they have to do to survive: reduce payroll, convert many employees to P/T, slash their group health care benefits OR simply drop their coverage and throw their employees into the ObamaCare system. Business hunkers down to ride it out until 2016.

As the situation worsens each quarter, more Dems and the media will turn on Obama...and Reid. The media created Obama from 2006-08, and they will destroy him in 2015-16.

Meanwhile the Republicans will gear up big time for 2016. Reid is up for re-election that year, too.
