Quote:Originally the house band at Studio One recording studio in Doraville, Ga., Atlanta Rhythm Section officially became a band in 1970. Their debut album, a self-titled effort, would arrive in 1972 -- the first of 13 studio LPs that would be released across their five-decade career. Along the way, the group scored several Top 20 hits, including “So in to You,” "I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight," "Imaginary Lover," "Do It or Die" and “Spooky.”
Bailey, the group’s founding guitarist, would play on every album until his retirement in 2006, the most successful of which was 1978’s platinum-selling Champagne Jam.

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
My son’s newest single is out today. His mama credits this song with saving my life. The night they called the family in to say goodbye to me when things were going bad, Shepherd came to my bedside and sang this song to me. My wife said my vital signs immediately began to improve and I stabalized.

Saw this last night for the very first time. The plot was ridiculous and almost un-watchable at times, but that wasn't the point back then (or now when they make these kinds of fluff pieces for the kids). Still, it was interesting to see skinny little Frankie and Annette together...

Really good... not quite as experimental as the last album but a solid effort. Still taking in all the songs to think about which ones I like the most.
A good listening album but its lacking a lot of the upbeat energy you go to the RHCP for. Flea still delivers on bass, Anthony still delivers on vocals, the guitar work can still put you in a trance but it is not that upbeat, go get them, energy they're know for... I don't mind their chill style, because they do it well, but I like their more energetic stuff.

Were you around Houston in the 80’s or 90’s
If so then you probably remember 91.7 FM
Good Owl and I were both affiliated with that station for a time. Spun a bit of Romeo Void back in the day. Hadn’t heard that track in quite a while.
Sorry if y’all already discussed and I missed it, I pop in and out of this thread only occasionally, there’s so much sports going on!!!!!
started the 3am shift on Sunday night-Monday morning, ended Fri morning DJ and my own special show. I was always more pop than noise oriented, but I found the variety enjoyable....speaking of variety...
