Audioslave was a great band. I was really surprised to hear "the band" from RATM play almost normal rock...and Cornell's vocals really melded well for their overall sound.

i'd like to thank everyone that posts in this thread. as i've shared i love music as much if not more than sports.

itt......i have learned music i may have never heard of without the existence of this little hootenanny.

i've also crammed even more useless trivia/information in the dahbeed brain housing group. don't get me wrong.....i enjoy accruing new facts ie ratm became audioslave. i had no idea. i just liked some of their songs.

so i hope this keeps going. this is a thread where i hopefully don't have to worry about some bag showing up chest-posturing like a bonobo.

gracias homies.

this is one of my favorite songs of all time simply for the memory it evokes. me visiting my dad in the summer in orlando. riding to new smyrna beach with my two brothers in our dad's pickup truck. 4 across the bench seat and not a seatbelt worn. this song blasting on an orlando rock station fighting the wind noise. ahh....the early 70's.

One of my all time favorites dahbeed. I thought about posting it several times but thought it was one most everybody has seen before. Great pick all in all! And by the way, I have gained a lot of new music knowledge on this thread and most assuredly agree that this thread should prosper!

Elton John - All the Young Girls Love Alice

I really like the guitar in this tune along with the rhythm. The synthesizer is done with just the right touch.

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
A real oldie that I just loved listening to by a pool in the summer. I kind of describes the attitude I had at the time, I just want to chill and do nothing but look at the young ladies. The group is more known for their "Red Rubber Ball" but this song had more of the feeling I wanted. You can hear a hint of the sitar in this song which portends a hint of things to come in the rock world and also reinforces the relaxed attitude of the song.

The Cyrkle "Turn Down Day"
