All BS arguing aside... (this will get buried 5 pages deep within an hour...lol)

I'm still pretty pumped about how our season ended. As an ECU basketball fan, I've never watched our team win any sort of tournament. It was in front of like 15,000 rabid mormons, and we hit a 3 at the buzzer to win it. Haha

All it did was whet my appetite for winning and raise my expectations.

Now, get back to arguing with SJ. lol

There is no arguing with me on it, you should send your gripes to guys like Ken Pomory a and tell him how to do his rankings and which games you want to pick and choose to ignore because you don't like the rankings at the end of the day.

Weber State beat nobody. I mean nobody. The lost to Montana State for goodness sake.

Basically, when people talk about manipulating the RPI, that is exactly what these late season tournaments do for the teams that win them. You play a bunch of mediocre opponents with a lot of wins, and it makes your numbers look so much better. We aren't ignoring what ECU did, but they did not have a better season than a team that made the NIT.

I told you already, he's staying. We traded him to CUSAbbs board for an RC cola and a moon pie.

ECU fans should be happy with the way their season ended if for no other reason than to help ease some of the pain from season upon season of badness. You have to keep that in perspective though when compared to what the rest of the basketball world considers an accomplishments. Pretty sure most here wouldn't even comment on that tournament win and be happy for ECU if it wasn't for SJ acting like it was some huge accomplishment.

An RC cola and a moon pie?

Whoever agreed to that deal really overpaid.

It was a huge accomplishment for ECU for the very reason you stated... year after year of miserable basketball.

I think having a BYE in the first round of the C-USA Tournament was also a great accomplishment.

If you disagree, then you probably don't really realize just how bad ECU basketball has been forever.

I've done nothing but talk about the entirety of our season. That was one small part of it you people want to pretend doesn't exist..

I agree with you for the reasons we both stated. Have to keep it in perspective though.

It's not anymore though and hasn't been for several years and more importantly to the future our program is positioned well already with similar facilities, more resources, and similar support as the UNCC's and UAB's of the world. Would you trade with them moving forward. I doubt any of us would. There's your perspective.

Has the moon pie been heated in the microwave?

RE: CUSA basketball starts this week
Not sure if it's been said yet, but MT plays Tennessee at home in women's basketball and they're expecting a sold out Murphy Center with about 12k in attendance, nearly all in blue. Last time we had UTK in our house for women's hoops there were about 11k MT fans to UT's less than 1k. Similar tonight, I would venture a guess. #4 team coming in, we have a good chance to win, especially in front of our loud home atmosphere (one of best in country).
