syracuse dropped mens and womens swimming to take up womens hockey. It seems odd they would do this if they had any plans to start mens hockey in the near future

TBH i dont think SU is serious about hockey

theres a lot of speculation from us about it but the way SU's current sports are setup it looks like they are not interested and as frank the tank said: hockey east probably inquired about this already and since they added other schools instead its safe to say they got a flat NO from syracuse.

HE women's side includes only schools in HE. All in New England and all an easy bus ride.

Hockey East got a 'yes' from UConn, 'yes' from Notre Dame and an interest from RPI. That was two years ago when Syracuse was not yet in the ACC and more awash in cash.
