RE: Texas Tech@SMU sold out
I'll grant one article was written by an A&M fan but the others were done by:
David Luther - Ohio State Guy
Alex Sims -WVU guy
Lafe Peavler -BYU guy
Fans of every school in the Big 12
lmao
but good lord you'll tell yourself they are ALL Aggies to preserve your persecution complex where only A&M thinks Red Raiders are a bunch of jack asses despite clear evidence to the contrary. So what if its bleacher report? They are opinion pieces that reflect popular perception...which is that your fan base sucks.
Is your Chancellor Hance an Aggie? Is that why he called for an end to your "culture of unflattering sportsmanship"
Oh and to make up for the one A&M fan, here is a Tennessee Volunteer who names Tech #1 worst place to watch a college football game

RE: Texas Tech@SMU sold out
Aggies, especially t-shirt fans who couldn't sniff an A&M acceptance letter, have no room to talk. Every school has aholes but walk across the aggy campus on gameday wearing red/black or burnt orange and see how well you are treated.
I mean who doesn't like getting yelled at in the aggy Memorial Student Center or Kyle Field to follow the aggy tradition of uncovering???? Who really enjoys corp turds telling visitors to "hump it ags" when ya'll do one of your stupid yells????
Here is a classic aggy fan. Whatever happened to that douche?

Quote:"A&M wants to rip on our fans and all that. Our fans are as good as their fans are," Leach said. "One thing our fans don't do is sit around and whine about other teams' fans. A&M spent a significant part of the week whining about what our fans are like. Why don't they worry about what themselves are like?
"There may be an individual or two that got out of hand. If someone commits criminal behavior ... then that individual is responsible for it. It's interesting to me that all these Aggies — whether they're at A&M or here — are sitting around with halos over their heads and they have some divine expertise on fanmanship. I just don't believe that's the case. For the record, I think our fans are better than the Aggie fans."

Pooooor Tech!
You just can't stand the truth:
Your fan base has a nationally bad reputation.
You tell yourself "It's only A&M that thinks we have bad fans" but the evidence shows that all you have to do is type "worst college fan bases" and look who comes up over and over and over.
You can rag on us all you like but it doesn't change the national perception of YOUR fan base.
Even your own chancellor has to beg you to stop being so disrespectful

There was an article in Sports Illustrated about 30 years ago that said Oklahoma fans were the most crude in the country. Tons of f-bombs all over the stadium, cheering opponent's injuries, etc.
But that was a long time ago and things change.

You are welcome. Things worked out for the best. Cincy got a coach that couldn't hack it in the Big 12 and we got a former QB to come home and clean up the mess from the last 3 years.

RE: Texas Tech@SMU sold out
I sincerely hope you enjoy the aac. You guys will fit right in with the other small fan bases in that league. ECU and maybe USF deserve better because they can put 40-50K in the stands.
Maybe if the Big 12 survives( and I hope it doesn't), we can go after those 2. They are obviously the best choices in that league.

And your Chancellor got into a slap-fight with other Aggies at a Tech game several years ago in a despicable and highly embarrassing display of dork fighting. Q: Who gets a black eye from a nerd slap-fight? A: An Aggie Chancellor. Lol! We miss you inbred hillbilly nerds. Your "special" combination of self-loathing, social cluelessness, and genetic malformations was highly entertaining!

Seriously! Because that was my experience watching Tech play at OU about 15 years ago. I was absolutely shocked at the constant harassment and F-bombs being hurled at us considering OU was highly ranked, Tech was so-so at best, and the game was passably close but never really in doubt. I'm sure most were locals with no college education, much less from OU, but that was the worst experience I've ever had as a visiting fan. Several of my friends had the same experience at OU games.

We miss you for all the easy wins...that's about it. But 3 years of absolute domination of Tech in every single sport was a nice way to end it.
But good attempt at deflection. Doesn't change that every time you google "worst college fan bases in America" good ole Tech makes the list every single time! If you can't be recognized for outstanding academics or athletics at least you can be recognized for having a really ****** fan base!

I grew up in a family of season ticket holders and I graduated from there. OU fans are just like every other school's. You come in and cheer on your team and you'll be treated with respect, but if you come in with "pistols up" and run your mouth about OU, you're gonna get bounced. TT fan always seemed to have a big mouth if memory serves me right. I've been to Lubbock also, and I was treated rough, but I didn't go crying to my mama. It's a rough sport, wear a helmet. Did you guys ever get that Flying J truck stop you needed to attract tourists? Good luck with that.

Tech holds the series records versus A&M in both the SWC and Big 12...LMFAO! Did you really not know that?!? What a maroon!! Lol!

No. OU fans are nothing like other fanbases in the Big 12. During the two games I attended in Norman, Tech fans didn't expect to win and were very low key and friendly. OU fans still acted belligerent, yelled f-bombs the entire game, and bellowed crazy-hillbilly smack talk the entire day. It was a VERY creepy banjo-boy atmosphere unlike anything I've ever experienced...and I watched a game in Birmingham, AL!! We were respectful but there's no doubt most OU fans in our section wanted to make us squeal like pigs before returning to their trailer parks after the games ended.
