This is very important. There is a sprinkling of top shelf FBS talent within FCS.
And not just the FCS, but it sure seems to me that I see them head to the top FCS schools - the ones that are consistent playoff participants. That's anecdotal at best, one man's observations without any numbers to back it up. Maybe it's just that it isn't as noticeable at the non-playoff teams in that they don't get the coverage otherwise.

The ability to get those transfers is why they are consistent playoff participants.

If you look at NDSU, Craig Bohl regularly has 7 or 8 transfers, a mix of JC's and four year schools almost all of which are other lower level Minnesota schools (trust me no one would ever confuse Minnesota Crookston football with any mid level to lower level D1 program). The only "recognizable" school was New Mexico State where several players came from the last 3 years.

Craig is simply doing a heck of a job. Nice guy, great to see him having the success that he is.
Closer to home, Sam has gotten transfers from UT, aTm, and KState. Georgia Southern has gotten some from SEC schools and Georgia Tech. And the same for others.

And I see it in my area, with William & Mary, Richmond and James Madison being regular transfer targets (and the latter 2 recent champions). That's what I base my perceptions on.

RE: Other Football Action from Opening Weekend
It may be the last game of the weekend, but I could see the star of tonight's game becoming yet another redshirt freshman QB to win the Heisman. Jameis Winston of Florida State looks really impressive (as do the Seminoles). Nice crowd at Pitt too in their first game in the ACC.
