It looks like I will have a few extra tickets to the Rice-Texas A&M game. These are in the Rice section.
These are offered at face value, with two non-negotiable conditions:
1. You must be a Rice fan.
2. You must ride the Rice fan bus to the game (sign-up deadline is 8/28, but it is filling up, so you might want to jump on it).
The details for the bus trip (including how to sign up) are in this thread:
i would like to go if you have any tickets left. And if I can get on the bus!! Let me know ticket status and price! And phone #.

I was wondering where they would put the Rice section. 149 is in the extreme southeast side on the lower deck. I will be watching the game on television and saving my College Station trip for the Aggie Bar Association seminar the first weekend in March.

These tickets are at face value for Rice fans. Please send a PM if interested.
I received a message from the 12th Man Foundation saying that resale tickets are available. I looked at the best available are and it is is in 148-which is just one section over from the Rice section.
I got a ticket from a TAMU Season Ticket holder in the Alumni section on the 30 yard line!!
They said that i will have to learn some limited cheers and the "Saw the horns" thing where they link arms and sway back and forth!!
Should be a HOOT! may have to get inebriated though, which is hard for me for a noon start. But you do what you have to!!
Find out how early the Dixie Chicken in Northgate opens. If it does not open early enough, there are many other bars in Northgate. If you want to learn the yells and you are staying the night before, go to Midnight Yell Practice in Kyle Field, which is late enough to make it easier to get drunk. Remember you are not at LSU so do not make a complete drunken fool of yourself like the LSU fans do.

I carry my own flasks, so I can "party" any time!! I don't believe that Yell Practice starts until later in the "pre-season." i am originally from Louisiana, so maybe that influences my rowdiness!!
I always have a good time regardless of the folks around me, sometimes including family members!! Maybe that's why my sweet, quiet wife doesn't go to sports events with me anymore??

Since it's A&M game week, I thought I'd share this from last night... So I'm on a flight from New York to Houston last night and the guy in front of me diagonally across the aisle had a big Aggie ring and a maroon Adidas shirt on. He looked to be about 40 years old. He watched Muppets videos with Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, etc for a solid 2 hours. No kids were present. HOWDY!
