Here's reality, you have sucked for almost a decade and get outdrawn by Temple and you are talking crap about them. If the perception of my program with almost 50k in the stands coming off a 8 win season when we won the east again is warped you guys are Leonardo Dicaprio in Inception with your last success based on decade plus ago winning in the bottom levels of college football feuled with on cheating no less.

Let's fact check and give some context:

We had a period of rebuilding in the last decade and we brought it all the way to the top. We also had 4 consecutive winning seasons in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009. We were a total of 3 minutes of game time and 2 touchdowns away from back to back 10 win seasons, but don't even worry about that. Maybe not sustained success, but it's at least respectable in recent history.

2004: 2-9
2005: 5-6 (Beat Marshall)
2006: 7-6 (Beat Marshall)
2007: 8-5 (Win over Boise St. in bowl game, one of Boise's 8 losses in the last 10 years) (Lost to Marshall)
2008: 9-5 (CUSA Championship) Lost Liberty Bowl to Kentucky 19-25 on a qb screwup and we also beat Va Tech and WVU back to back (Beat Marshall)
2009: 9-5 (CUSA Championship) Lost Liberty Bowl to Arkansas 17-20 after a few missed field goals (Beat Marshall)
2010: 6-7 After Skip left for USF and we had the youngest team in the country and beat Tulsa who went 11-3 (Beat Marshall)
2011: 5-7 Included a 7 pt. loss to Va Tech who went 11-3 (Lost to Marshall)
2012: 8-5 (Beat Marshall)

Four 8+ win seasons including back to back conference championships in 8 years after going a combined 3-20 in the two years prior.

How many CUSA championships has Marshall won?

Marshall only talks so much crap because they have nothing going for themselves.

2009: 9-5 (Champ)

That's a pretty good ass run when you consider

ECU played 2 D1aa's and 26 BCS schools OOC

For example some other schools of note in the same period.

Marshall 5 D1aa's and 18 BCS
Boise 4 D1aa's and 11 BCS

We have dominated CUSA competiton the last 7 years. If we played your schedule and you could add a win or two on there, Boises probably 2 or 3 a season. That's the thing no one gives us any credit for is we play big time schedules OOC. In the 80's and 90's the schedule was even more difficult.

Decide to look up the golden era of Marshall football which was also their first 7 years (1997-2003, you know accient history) in D1a and just who you were playing.

In those 7 years on top of the weak ass MAC you played in this is the OOC you played....

-Marshall 8 D1aa schools and 11 BCS schools

-ECU 1 D1aa school and 25 BCS schools

If you can't see huge difference in the quality of schedules we have played you are smoking rock. In the 80's and early 90's it was even more ridiculous.

It's all realtive because every other school uses tickets sold as well. When you sell more joe blow season tickets than you guys even draw in a season, even before any student or other allotments are given out you can certainly use tickets sold because someone bought them, and at premium prices as well. Our stadium has nearly been sold out every summer for the last 5 or 6 years.
