My 4 favorites:

1. Georgia Dome (Georgia State) The food.
2. Ladd-Peebles Stadium (South Alabama) It's home for now.
3. Bobcat Stadium (TXST) Never been there but it looks first class in the pics.
4. Veterans Memorial (Troy) It's close and in the state.

Being a Atlanta Falcons season ticket holder, I can see the food at the Georgia Dome being the best in the SBC.

Here are some better pictures for Bobcat Stadium, as the first on in the original post is before it was bowled in. If only all are games were sell outs...

The only other Sun Belt stadium I have seen in person is Georgia Southern's. While still at the FCS level but not that it would be at the top of the list, pictures don't seem to do it justice. I am sure you can say that about any stadium on the list, though.

RE: Favorite Stadium of the SBC.
TXST has the best stadium.

Iv been to Troy and Louisiana neither of which i had good times at.
But because the weather was horrible and we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in both.
I don't like Ulms stadium. it just looks like a concrete think that i don't even know how to describe.
I Like stAte's stadium but i think it would look much better with some upgrades and once the practice facility gets built and the press box is expanded.

Gaso has the worst

Idaho Has the best indoor practice facility. Someone upload pictures of their actual stadium. 05-stirthepot

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay in Troy, stAtecamera. The next time you come, let me host you for a tailgate, hopefully I can help make your next trip more enjoyable.

That goes for anyone on here. I'm happy to show you around the campus and introduce you to our Trojan Traditions. 04-cheers

Can't forget the Strutters (largest dance team in the country) gallery in the stadium!

If we're talking the structure itself, I'd say we have the best* of the Sun Belt... but we really get knocks in terms of atmosphere. We're working on attendance, but there's really only so much you can do when your most exciting OOC game is Wyoming. Best atmosphere looks like one of WKU, UL, or stAte

I'm sorry, but is this shot from an actual game(as it appears to be)? Because if so half of a 16,000 seat stadium is empty.

That is a high school game.

RE: Favorite Stadium of the SBC.
I like Texas State's the most.

As for the comments about the fields below surface level, it really helps with noise. I had heard about ESPN sideline reporters commenting about how loud it was at stAte and that was before our attendance skyrocketed and of course those were for weeknight games, but I got a better idea last year.

I was late for the weeknight game against ULM because the traffic for a 30K crowd on a Thursday night caught us off guard. As we walked to the stadium I was following the game on my phone. I could not hear anything at all. It sounded like the stadium was completely empty. I walked to the corner of the stadium looking down in the field just as stAte scored its first TD and the noise just about knocked me down and again, it is much louder on the field.

When we added the endzone facility and video board it made for a better atmosphere. When we put in the facility in the other endzone and replace the video board it is going to be nicer and louder. The plan now is to add some premium seating in the north endzone as well. Long term, the pressbox will be upgraded.

That bobcat head laid in the cement is pretty freaking sweet. Great job of branding around your facility. I would like to see more of that kind of stuff at Troy.

Ok, last post defending the Dome. First off, it is Idaho, not Idaho St. if you want to see a worse dome see pictures of Holt Arena at Idaho St. They oriented their field in a way that absolutely does not allow for expansion.

The Kibbie on the other hand can be expanded and their are in fact plans to do so. A second "deck" can be added, basically hung from the rafters, the west wall can be knocked out with seating in that end zone can be added, the same is true to a smaller extent and with more work on the east side. They have also been plans for a dig down that would remove the indoor track and add more seats. In the end the dome can get up to 25 to 27,000. It remains to be seen if that will ever happen though, I will not hold my breath. Here is a link to an article on expansion: http://idaho.scout.com/2/1182373.html

I didn't enjoy it because i was working video for ASU-TV and we had an idiot professor with us that had never done it before. the week before i was in lafayette when it was literally 118 degrees on the field (thats actual) and i was in panes and a heavy polo. so when we were headed to troy the next week i wore shorts and a light white polo and it poured down rain so much that it shorted out our flood safe battery pack, and it was about 40 degrees. plus i had go all the way around the stadium to get to the press box to hook up our sound. which i did about 5 times in the rain. then on the last possession you guys kicked a field goal to win after Ap threw an interception.

Why not bite the bullet and just build an outdoor stadium? Can you raise student fees to fund half of it and seek a namesake donation for the other half? Throwing money at that dome isn't helping your case in terms of facilities

Here is a rendering of the proposed stadium expansionin which we are currently raising money for. Our current stadium has 29 Suites. this new endzone facility will add 10-15 more suites which is pure money and some stadium club seating

Excluding App State (too biased), I'm sure my opinions will change as I become more familiar with each stadium. But for now based on pics and comments about the stadiums:

1) Texas St
2) Troy
3) USA
4) Louisiana
5) Arkansas St
6) ULM
7) NM State
8) Ga Southern
9) WKU
10) Ga State
11) Idaho

I wont rank the stadiums right now, but I will say Louisiana's field is far and away my favorite. The company that laid their turf also layed our turf. I was hoping ours would end up just as vibrant, but for some reason it didnt turn out like I thought it would.

As far as my favorite stadium in the Sun Belt I have to go with Texas State, the work they did looks really nice and should be something that they are proud of.

One thing that can be done if an Events Center gets built and basketball is moved out of the dome is they could tear the roof off of the Dome and viola we have an outdoor stadium.

There does not seem to be the political willpower to push for an outdoor stadium and athletics still takes a far back seat to academics at Idaho. There seems to be a lot of alums that would have been happy just going back to FCS football and the Big Sky and who seem to think the Dome is just fine for us. It is a big fight to get anything done facility wise for athletics.

Our stadium will probably be more similar to WKU's than ours currently pictured once we are playing a SBC schedule.

I hate domes.

11.) Georgia State - Only stadium on the list I have been to.
12.) Idaho

I generally prefer stadiums with at least one enclosed end zone. To me it gives it a much better look and feel. I'll be at Troy in a couple of months, so my opinion on theirs could improve.
